50% Of Fans Want This Foreign Coach At Newcastle

The Mirror reported a day or two ago that Newcastle’s first choice for their new head coach position was Frank de Boer, but if they wanted to sign the Dutchman, the club would have to wait until the end of the season to even have talks with the 44 year-old.

Frank de Boer – very popular with fans

In the voting Frank has over 50% of the vote and he’s followed by former Lyon manger Remi Garde, and it’s Garde who will probably be appointed if Newcastle do appoint a head coach before the summer.

Whereas one in two fans want de Boer, one in four go for the former Lyon coach, so if Newcastle do appoint Remi Garde next week – he will be a fairly popular choice.

There’s still time to vote, and we’ve listed these continental coaches Newcastle have been linked with, because it appears there are no strong British candidates for the job, who want to join Newcastle.

One vote per reader.

    In truth,

voting for any one of these characters is like drawing a stick. I’m guessing, most of us hardly have time to follow one league, never mind 5-10!

Style of play depends on your players and the opposition. Even stats don’t mean much. Would most championship sides not beat Dutch, Cypriot, Greek, French etc. ones? Don’t know, just wondering.

So, unless we lose the next 4 games (first two in the bag!), I’m guessing they’ll stick with Carv. And take their time with the next one.

And, DON’T give him an 8 year contract, even if his surname is made up of two words!
