This Dark Horse Could Be Surpise Choice As Head Coach

While all the news over the last few days has been on Remi Garde as the potential new Newcastle head coach,  we’ve noticed that Tim Sherwood for the last week or so has been high in the betting, and Tim was probably one of the three candidates interviewed over the weekend in London – with one additional candidate being interviewed today or tomorrow.

Tim Sherwood – similar to other Ashley appointments at Newcastle

Remi Garde is currently 1/6 odds on at SkyBet to get the job, with Tim Sherwood the second favorite at 5/1 and John Carver currently at 8/1.

But if Remi really wants to start the job in the summer, as was reported in the Mail,  that may put a spanner in the works, and Newcastle may want to turn to another candidate – and Tim Sherwood is available now.,

The Chronicle is reporting today that one of the candidates interviewed over the weekend has not been in the media spotlight – and that could be Tim Sherwood.

Mike Ashley has always appointed English coaches – well apart from Irishman Joe Kinnear – and the owner has appointed a number of managers from the south.

Those include Chris Hughton and Alan Pardew, and Joe Kinnear – who was raised in London,  and Tim Sherwood was born in Borehamwood in Hertfordshire,

So if there’s an appointment soon, and the news about Remi Garde is true that he doesn’t want to start until the summer – it could be that Tim Sherwood could be the shock choice at Newcastle.

And don’t forget four years ago Alan Pardew’s name was never even mentioned as a possible Newcastle manager – and it was a huge shock and also a  huge disappointment when Alan was announced as the new manager of Newcastle in December, 2010.

You just never know what will happen at Newcastle.

It’s not just about NUFC. Coleman was another one of those “blame everyone and everything but himself” managers. Like Pardew and Pulis. O’Leary is another. It just winds me up when blithering tw@s like these get paid to open their mouths about other clubs.

All he is doing in this case is stating the obvious.

Like yourself I love this club but people are seriously flattering themselves if they think managers will walk over broken glass to manage us because of our fans and stadium, Mashers has made his strategy all too transparent over the last four years and people have seen what happened to Pardew for going along with his plans. Something has to give.

Please tell me we are not taking Sherwood seriously?

Sacked after 6 months in charge of his only club?

Why are we even talking about him?

I’ll tell you what Sherwood wouldn’t do and that is take any cr&p from Ashley.
It might be a short lived relationship, but it would certainly be an ‘interesting’ one.

After we lose to Souhampton next saturday, you should lead a rebellion and storm the corridors of power, lynch the fat bastard and his cohorts from the floodlights and take over the sensible running of the club

Why are people concerned what that tango faced bell end Coleman has to say. I can’t believe he manages to get him self away from the mirror in the morning let alone managing his national side (extremely poorly). Terrible manager, and a complete prick.

I think there is another way of looking at this NUFC job, I hear everything about no top coach will want this job because of the transfer policy, because of this and that,
I think managers are in a win win position when they do take our job, more often than not, managers are sacked and walk into other jobs, sometimes with question marks about why they were sacked,
Alan Pardew is living proof that you can be a crap manager , create some horrific records, and walk out with his reputation enhanced , all because of our transfer policy.

people seem to forget the facts, that P45 had a huge part to play in 3 of our biggest out goings in his tenner, Ba, Debuchy, Cabaye, all wanted to go because of P45, they all had goes at him for the way he plays his football, the world will see soon enough at palace how bad he is.

any new manager that comes in , will be a hero if he gets it right, and forgiven by all if it goes wrong, p45 was on 2 mill with bonuses , that’s a big carrot for anyone , no risks IMO

    Catchy in Norway.

That’s an even more ludicrous post than the one in which you said we have a better squad than Manure.

I respectfully suggest that a manager who takes us on for ‘2 mil and no risks’ is not exactly what we (the fans) require.
