Newcastle Close To Signing Two Spanish Youngsters In January

I put a similar article out a few hours ago, but it has somehow been deleted from the site – so I have recreated it from scratch – with a slightly different title.

There’s news coming out of Spain that Newcastle want to sign 18 year-old Racing Santander forward David Concha, who has played for the Spanish U19 side.

david concha

David Concha – Racing Santander 18 year-old forward

David made his debut for Racing back in December of 2013 when he had only just turned 17, and he has played 25 times for the first team with three goals and three assists and 21 times with two goals so far this season.

Newcastle want to complete the signing before the January transfer window slams shut next Monday night,  and they will loan him straight back to Racing Santander for the rest of the season.

And since his club are 4th bottom of the Spanish second division and in trouble of being relegated they may need him.

It’s the same type of deal Newcastle made when we signed Jamaal Lascelles and Karl Darlow last summer from Nottingham Forest, and we loaned them straight back to Forest for the season.

Concha has already visited St. James’ Park and been shown around the training facilities, and watched the Newcastle – Sunderland derby on December 21st, when we lost by a late goal scored by Adam Johnson.

Newcastle are now negotiating a deal with Racing Santander, who happen to be in dire need of the money, and are willing to sell their youngster to Newcastle this month.

Concha had previously tuned down a move to Brentford.

It seems that the success of Ayoze Perez this season has caused Newcastle to increase their scouting presence in that country, and the Tyneside club have an increased focus in Germany too.

jorge mere

17 year-old Jorge Mere of Sporting Gijon

Newcastle are also interested in signing impressive 17 year-old 6′ tall center-back Jorge Mere of Sporting Gijon this month, and again they will buy him and then loan him back to his club for the rest of the season.

Reports in Spain are saying that Newcastle are particularly interested in signing young players there, and once they are brought to Newcastle they can improve  – much the way Ayoze Perez has made such rapid progress this season.

As we have reported over the last day or two it seems that Newcastle are also very close to completing a deal for 18 year-old MK Dons midfielder Dele Alli for around £4M, and hope to complete that deal this week.

And again Newcastle will loan Alli back to MK Dons for the remainder of the season, with the club in 3rd place in League One and standing a very good chance of being promoted this season.

It was the red and white striped shirt. Something in the blogs security settings has to be overridden or it gets binned. I think it’s under Tools/Options/Security/dangermackems

As you’ve just mentioned sissoko on the previous, previous thread G2, He’s been batting his eyelids at PSG saying he’d have to think about it if they made an approach. What a slut he is, first arsenal now PSG. Slut.

I’m not bothered what players say in these interviews, the players usually lead or asked directly if they’d play for a certain club.

They probably guessing that based on that interview Sissoko made.

    But remember Blance saying this:
“Moussa Sissoko does not have the profile we are looking in the winter transfer window,”

    Oh well.

    OP

Doesn’t bother me them wanting to leave as who can blame them but no need to make it public every fcuking 5 minutes. All they’ve got to say is “I play for Newcastle”

He says he’s flattered by the interest but has no plans to return to France he loves the Prem . He will shortly be 26 and would ike to play Champions league before he finishes , but is prepared to give the Toon more time because he is happy here , he doesn’t want to be a bench warmer.

So, we’ve banked £5m and £3.5m this January so far. Will it get spent? will it fcuk!

They thought we’d muddle through with 3 CB’S once they let yanga go on loan with no replacement so nothings changed now he’s gone permanently apart from we’ve received actual cash. Ching ching.

Happy days are here to stay.

I have read a few places now that we have increased our scouting activity in Germany, but there are nothing to back that up in any of the articles!

…any concrete evidence to back this up?
