This Could Be Newcastle’s Best Team For Hull

Mehdi Abeid and Gabby Obertan will be available for the game tomorrow, and Papiss Cisse is jetting back from Equatorial Guinea today and all three will be available for the game at Hull City tomorrow.

Mehdi Abeid – likely to start for Newcastle tomorrow

But it looks like the game will come too early for Siem de Jong, who will likely get some playing time on Monday for the Newcastle U21 side in the game against West Brom at Darsley Park.

And maybe Siem will be in the squad for the home game against Stoke a week on Sunday?

We’ll assume that Paul Dummett will not be risked with his hamstring injury, and Cheick Tiote is still in Equatorial Guinea at the African Cup of Nations, with Ivory Coast having qualified for the quarter finals of that competition and they play Algeria on Sunday.

This could be Newcastle’s best side for Hull:

Krul
Janmaat Williamson Coloccini (c) Haidara
Sissoko Abeid Colback Cabella
Cisse Perez
Subs: Woodman Santon Good Anita Gouffran Ameobi Obertan

We don’t know if Rob Elliot is fit to take his place on the bench, but we think he’s still one or two weeks away from returning.

And with Steven Taylor our for the season and Dummett injured we have Australian International Curtis Good on the subs bench – since he’s fit again.

And John Carver may well start Papiss Cisse on the bench tomorrow, after his travels back from Africa today, but we also think that Abeid will be preferred to Anita in midfield.

What would your team be for tomorrow?

Can’t see Cisse starting or even bothering to bet back.
Abeid? Straight back after injury? Bench.

Anita and Gouffran to start for these two.
Exciting team … full of journeymen.

Ed, I think you team would be fun to watch, but I can’t see it happening. Still it’s exciting that so many players are returning from injury and I like to think that we can play some attacking football over the next few weeks. By the way 70TWO, I can’t see Santon at CB. He’s not a natural defender and imo is far stronger going forward. Also probably needs some time to get back into things after such a long lay-off.

Think Santon might get a start! Hes had a few reserve games now! Carver seems to be more in tune with what the fans are saying. Seen this by dropping Williamson for dummett when it was possible, wanting to build a team around Cabella , hes even acknowledged Ferrrerya exists…etc his problem will come from Niaivity. Seen this against Southampton and Chelsea. Hes also not got the strongest squad as we have no centrebacks or centre forwards.
Think hes in a clearer position than Pardew was as think the board have told him concisely what the job is and what he can and can’t do. Not sure they did that with pardew and that left him hung out to dry and frustrated.
Personally ive got a feeling Carvers reign will be similar to Ardiles… Good attacking football outplaying teams but losing games more than winning

bang on I think, it may be santon at left back and not haidara or even cisse on the bench with obertan starting, suppose we’ll have to wait and see, can’t wait for tomorrows game now,I’d love to see us wallop them, and it’s good to see abeid and not anita there I must admit, HTL !!!!!

I’m really excited to have Aarons and de Jong back soon. I am really hoping they’ll make a big impact on the club. For this match though I’m hoping that Good is given a chance over Williamson. Surely a full fledged international is better than Iron Mike?

Hull is a must-win game. If we lose today I can see us becoming unsettled, while a win might just send us on a bit of a run. Here’s looking forward to some attacking football this afternoon. HTL
