After Controversy It’s Now Official – Santon Joins Inter On Loan

Newcastle have just formally announced that 24 year-old Italian left-back Davide Santon has just joined Inter-Milan on loan for the rest of the season, with an option to make the deal permanent in the summer.

Davide Santon – joins Inter on loan

This is the Newcastle statement that has just been issued:

“Newcastle United can confirm that Davide Santon has joined Inter Milan on loan for the remainder of the 2014/15 campaign with an option to buy at the end of the season.”

“The 24-year-old Italian defender joined the Magpies from the same club in August 2011.”

That’s in line with what has been reported today – with Davide traveling to Milan yesterday and there being photos on the internet of him arriving in the industrial, commercial, and financial capital of Italy.

There was some controversy this morning when his girlfriend Chloe Sanderson criticized the club on her Twitter account, and said that Davide didn’t want to leave Newcastle – but that he was forced out and told he wouldn’t be playing for the first team if he stayed on Tyneside.

Here’s the article we issued earlier today with most of her Twitter comments, and Chloe withdrew her tweets almost immediately.

Let’s just say that Chloe didn’t exactly hold back with her criticism of Newcastle United, whom she said were more interested in money than their players.

It also seems that West Ham and West Brom were both interested in taking him on loan, but it was Davide’s decision to return to his former club in Italy.

Comments welcome.

Thank God Santon’s gone. He was very expensive to pay. We can’t have that. Haidara is on a much cheaper wage. Now let’s see. Hmmm. How much is Steve Stone making again?

No sympathy for Benny. Whatever his problems here he did nothing at Hull to prove a point and was let go, his own issues.

There’s still time before the window closes Mike. Show us the love. Go on then. Show us you have football ambition for the club. I’ll hold my breath.

I agree with Check on the last page.

Aarons and De Jong are reasons to be optimistic, we can have an exciting end to the season if they make it back into the side.

However I agree with many others, we need to buy. We have 2 fit centr backs at the club, 2 left backs and a right back. Not counting Ryan Taylor as he’s more of a midfielder and it was record is terrible.

We need to strengthen the back as we are woefully short of not only quality now but numbers.

I think Santon’s lass’s Twitter site was hacked.
They were just not the sort os things a WAG would say.
However they were the sort of thing a NUST knobhead would say

So at approximately 19:10 we announce he’s left on loan with the option to buy when we all knew it was a done deal this morning.

Does this leave enough time to get anyone in? Does it fcuk.

If they’d announced earlier they couldn’t use time as an excuse.

Planned to perfection yet again. Those thicko fans will fall for it. Do you know what the sickening thing is. Most will and have over and over again.

    Shoot me now.

Downie named six players, of which a
handful could be spending the second half of
    the season in Glasgow.
They are Aussie defender Curtis Good,
midfielder Haris Vuckic from Slovenia, English
    defender Remie Streete, Burundi-born Gael
    Bigirimana, striker Facundo Ferreyra, an
Argentinian, and teenage Swiss defender Kevin
    Mbabu.

He’s fallen out with 5 club and 2 international managers. Talented boy but not the right attitude.

He was shocking at hull, actually ran less than the keeper during his games there.

I don’t believe the coaching staff rated Dummett over Santon. I do believe that the colour cards were shuffled again and Santon being a former purple, i.e. on higher wages than Haidara and definitely more than Dummett, had to go. That’s what you’ve got, JC – now go out there and give it your all for 10th spot!

How tones have changed with Fat Ash in charge ruining our once great club.

Jail – I actually don’t think Ashley will give the job to carver but if he does get us playing good football and takes us to say 8th then does he deserve a chance?

I don’t believe Carver will be employed full time personally but clearly its possible, unlike you I still haven’t totally given up on fatty surprising everyone and one day showing some liking and attachment for the club.

I wouldn’t mind carver getting it full time if he turns out to be very good, guess we need to see.

Unlike you though I don’t think that ashley would ever change and everything he does is for his benefit and not for ours. It’s very poor really.

Jail I would have thought the same myself! I think Hatem hot there, played a few times in Bruce Baggy pants desperately unsuitable losing combo. And thought, right in better get a deal dine now or come summer I’m lost. Dont blame him. Hull was a cruel manoeuvre to back him into. Typical mash, I think Santon and gutierrez would have done great stories to tell.

Also, where are the dead cert links to verify the player unrest against hba? I only heard a few rumours.

Silly me. They announced he’d left at precisely 18:54 but alas it’s still not enough time to get a replacement over the line, that’s moved, been painted over, a mirage, doesn’t exist, as believable as rocking horse shit. Oh happy days. 3 cheers for the fat slug and his minions. Yay!
