Newcastle certainly like unloading players in January, and Davide Santon has moved on loan to Inter-Milan with an option for the Italian club to make the deal permanent at the end of the season, and his girlfriend Chloe Sanderson has taken a swipe at Newcastle by saying they are ruining the club because they are only interested in profits and not the players.
Chloe may be close to the truth there.
Gael Bigirimana may join Rangers on loan
The three youngsters who may leave on loan today to Rangers FC – that’s Mike Ashley’s other club – are said to be Gael Bigirimana, Kevin Mbabu and Haris Vuckic, to strengthen the Rangers squad.
Rangers are a massive 16 points behind leaders Hearts in the Championship, but the 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed sides in the Championship are in a play off with the 11th placed team (2nd bottom) of the Scottish Premier League, to see which club gets the second vacant spot in Scotland’s top division.
So there’s still hope that Rangers will be in the Premier League next season, and a chance to get back into Europe again, which we assume to be the main reason for Ashley’s interest in the famous Scottish club.
It wouldn’t surprise us one little but if all three players move out on loan today, but they better take their winter woollies with them.
If Mike Ashley continues his interest and investment in Rangers FC, and is allowed to do that by the Scottish FA, we suppose we could see players moving between the two clubs in the future.
So this is the first of those deals, with three young Newcastle players potentially moving north of the border for the rest of the season.
We don’t know if this is good or bad.

Comment #42Imagine an improved and progressive team at the Toon -getting better and better. Just need a couple of players to make it tick.
At the same time a couple of settled players, good players in the side are due to have their contracts renewed in 18 months.
What do the Toon do – get a couple of signings to compliment and perfect the team – glory days ahead.
No I suspect they’ll sell the decent players, not offer a contract renewal and the whole process of team building starts again.
At the same time there are no complaints from the regimes NUFC blog bitches.

Comment #43I would have liked to have seen how Santon could have got on post-Pardew era. Now we will never know if he could have lived up to all his potential under a good manager/head coach, not at Newcastle anyway.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see him playing for Italy in a year or two after moving to Inter.

Comment #44It serves sky right for creating a monster that was inevitably going to come back and bite them in the arse.
Whipping everyone up into a frenzy with slobber chops “anging art of is winda”. Only for their presenters around the grounds to get sex toys stuffed in their ears, foul language live on tv and good old jimmy with his stupid yellow tie salivating over transfers.
The downfall of deadline day. Brilliant.

Comment #48Here’s another thought on Santon do any of us know whether or not he has been offered a new deal. Could be that he didn’t want to sign a new deal and happy to run down for a Bosman.
As always we always assume the worst because we never have the full information from the club. That is my biggest beef with the club – lack of clarity to enable fans to understand the individual purchases and sales against the declared club policy.
Anyway I am going too stay off blog until window closes before someone bursts a blood vessel at the unexpectedness of it all.

Comment #53We took a real chance winning a couple of games in the league cup this season. It could have ended in disaster. Just imagine winning a cup and being forced to play in Europe. Horrible! Mike had nightmares for several days until we bowed out.

Everton fans last year stuck a dildo in the ear of the presenter who was at their ground. That’s why sky scrapped the whole “live at 92 clubs” thing. Well not just that but the other things I mentioned too. Like f**k her in the ***** sort of things. They got their just desserts for making it what it is.

Comment #56magscar – you miss the point about an employer acting with decency and thoughtfulness. That’s to be expected though.
Because Santons missus has had an outburst does not mean she will not support him in the future – but if you suggest otherwise so be it.
**Reminder** Mr Tubbs tactics -we are nasty, we’ll smash you, in league with Wonga, using sweat shops in the far east -top wages paid – a pound a day.Lying to KK /tribunal.
But if you want to support him -then so be it.

Comment #59I’m Santon biggest fan, but not really sad about this move. It could be a great thing for him, the style of play and they could be on the charge for european position. Although at 13th position and 13 points away from CL with so many games left, they still have a chance.
They have mega star players there, I can’t wait to see both Santon and Nagatomo in action. Mancini will start the revolution in Inter, he will try to get the players he wanted because he inherits Mazzari team who plays different style to his. Erick Thohir the mega rich billionaire gives full backing for Mancini, there’s even talk of buying Yaya toure in summer. This could be blessing in disguise for SAnton, it could be his international career revival as well.
He is after all CL winner with Inter.

Before I go can’t argue with all but your last blunderbus of a last line. Mind you it could have been cut and paste from any of the last few windows post such is the lack of any original thinking in it’s composition. You will get lots of thumbs up though because many do like a bit of rabble rousing repetition on days like these.

Comment #65Several teams have improved this window. Just not us. We don’t need to improve right Mike? I’m sure the Rangers supporters will love being mediocre like us. The lumps in the middle. Sissoko out the door in the summer. More bollocks from Charnley about sticking to the plan. Go get a job in a fish and chip shop Charnley and show them your brilliant business abilities.

Comment #69When will our next defensive collapse be? It won’t be too long to wait with only Willo and Colo available. But Charnley will just laugh it off as we sit somewhere around 11th or 12th. Then he’ll do nothing in the summer again except sell Sissoko. We’ll get Lascelles in and just carry right on being mediocre.

Comment #75Changed my name from Santon the new to this one
Think he will do well in a good team and then all we will hear will be the moaning that we should not have sold him
So lets get this right we are looking to get rid of the following on loan or away permanent :
Mbiwa
Arfa
Campbell
Vuckic
Santon
Bigi
Good
So thats 7 players with money coming and wages off the books with 0 COMING IN??????
Wonder if Carver will moan at all ?He will when Colo or Willo or Janmaat gets injured
