The sparks are starting to fly a bit with the Santon loan move to Inter-Milan, and his girlfriend Chloe Sanderson has said that Davide did not want to join Inter-Milan, but was pushed out by Newcastle.
Davide Santon – now in Italy at Inter-Milan
Davide had issued a pleasant enough message on his Facebook account earlier today, and thanked the Newcastle fans – but to heck with the pleasantries .
This is what Chloe Sanderson has said today:
And there were even more tweets from Chloe – all of which have now been deleted – here’s some more of what she put out – obviosuly upset about Davide’s mnove:
“This is not just a loan, it’s a loan with obligation to buy.” “Newcastle as good as told him if he stayed he didn’t have a place in the team.”
“They tried to deny it this morning, to keep it on the down low… so other teams wouldn’t put in an offer for JUST a loan, because Davide would have preferred that. To stay in the Premier League, but Newcastle would have lost the guaranteed buy and money.”
“They are a business not a club. And as long as they keep losing players with the passion Davide had..they are killing nufc, and killing the support from the fans who stick around after all the s***.”
OK – so Chloe’s really upset at Newcastle – but many a true word is said in anger – and a lot of Newcastle fans will agree with that last paragraph.
Davide and Chloe have a beautiful baby daughter Sienna – who will be two years old in May – and we had thought this morning that it would be a disruption for Davide to move to Italy, and it looks like it was true what he had often said – that he was very happy at Newcastle.
And it’s not too surprising that Chloe is not too happy, since the family is disrupted quite a bit, and we don’t know if she will move over to Italy with the baby, to be with Davide.
Chloe, Sienna and Davide in the summer of 2013
But as we mentioned this morning, Newcastle knew that his contract runs out in a short 18 month time, so it was time to cash in on him – and it looks like he wasn’t going to be offered a new deal to stay on Tyneside.
With Paul Dummett and Massadio Haidara both playing well at left-back, Newcastle obviously think they have enough cover at left back, and it was simply the Newcastle clearing house once again in action.
And we are very likely to see Cheick Tiote leave the club in the summer too.
And would you believe it but I have lost my internet connection at home today of all days, just when Newcastle are expected to sign a couple of stellar players.
Only the first part of that sentence is true. 😀
What do you think?

Comment #41Santons knee has never been his problem. Pardew and his staff were his biggest obstacles. If he goes to Inter he will be a much better player in short order you wait.

Comment #42Sazzer…I think that article shows us that kind of club we are putting up with…
…we are just encouraging them to keep it up by putting money in their pockets and agreeing to be shown in full numbers on TV.

You just took the words out of my mouth there. Just watch Santon shine with Inter, and let us fans see what could have been.

Comment #46Do you think Charnley has hit his targets for the season yet?
I would so he is very proficient at scheming up new ways to fleece players and force players out, with no thought for the depth of the squad.
Next up, this one should be an easier one with Jonas having had cancer. (It will not matter how fit Jonas gets himself)
After Jonas, pick another player… this is going to be constant thing at Newcastle – the club preying on its own players.

Comment #48So let me get this straight, by shifting santon out the only defenders we have got fit are.
Janmaat
Haidara
Colo
Williamson
if we don’t get anyone in, i do hope none of these players get injured, you can see things are bad when you hope collo and Williamson don’t get injured.

Comment #49So a player gets pushed out of the club in order to make savings even though the squads a shambles and we are short of defensive cover but it’s ok? it’s wrong that his family is annoyed? Have I missed something?
Usual ashleyalites spouting drivel trying to condone it. Funny that isn’t it. The people who continually back the regime to the hilt are the ones saying it’s no big deal that we are LOANING another defender out, leaving us shorter than we previously were.
Excellent business that. I can now see why they love him so and he’s the best thing to ever happen to the club.
Some cheers for fatty. Hip hip hooray. Dont forget to wave those spreadsheets at the next home game. Gutted I don’t go anymore, it sounds so exciting.

Comment #51Can’t believe people would defend Ashley over this sale without a replacement already signed
Coincidence how he does this after the January deadline for season ticket renewals. I’m so glad I cancelled mine last month
It’s up to the fans now to get rid of the horrible scumbag and hopefully organise some proper type of event like boycotting a live home game or two

Comment #54There’s a strong argument in the case of Santon being loaned/sold for Ashley to make money but isn’t there equally an argument to say both Dummett and Haidara are bigger assets at this time? Dummett will become a useful centre back while Haidara simply gets better everytime I see him? Weighing both things up, then why not offload him no matter what his girlfriend thinks? Problem is can we bring someone in, in the areas which we clearly need reinforcing?

Comment #55Paul Dummett playing well? WTF!?

Comment #56Anyone who thinks Dummett is a good full back simply is deluded. He’s championship standard like a few NUFC players. Nufc have a serious lack of ambition hense why we keep likes of dummett, willo, gouffran, ameobi etc whilst I think hairdaira is the best full back we have I think santon is more than worthy of a place at newcastle. Personally think he would be better outlet further upfield over bambi or gouffran! As fans we need to understand we will never have ambition other than to stay in prem whilst Ashley is in charge. For some reason it’s taking awhile for some fans to grasp this!!

Mancini, is the italian Pardew . Same arrogant turd.
