BPC…do you know what was embarrassing? Obertan in the 85th minute!

…he is playing at a completely different level than the rest of them

Scout…I was watching the game not the table 😉

Missed the game and missed the interview due to work but before kick off I knew , just knew ( as did thousands others ) that Crouch would come on when defenders are tired and can’t jump as high and score a header – did Carver have a game plan for this predictable outcome ? Like standing on his toes would be a start . Methinks not. 90 minutes – push the ball deep down the other end, even touch or goal kick and keep them deep in defence – even Crouch can’t score from his own half !

Tubbs is gambling again that we have sufficient to avoid the drop – thus no need to spend.
How many “give him a chance” or “let’s wait until the next window” do Toon fans endure. Always seems a manyana/ jam tomorrow for us – which most Toon fans seem to accept – year after year.
Really seven years into the Tubbs regime we should be decidedly better than we are. Some tough games coming up where I cannot see us getting points.

To win a game you have got to earn it, unfortunately today we didn’t earn it, just like man city and Chelsea yesterday when they didn’t earn it, sometimes things like that happen.

On a brighter note if carver gets the squad playing like that until the end of the season, well he can kiss goodbye his head coach job.

When we missed those two golden chances (Obertan, Perez) you just knew that we’d throw it away. I dreaded the moment Crouch would come on.

Shame really, because we shaded it. Many had good games, no real standout. Special mention: Krul, Colo, Anita, Cabs, Siss, Colb, Ameobi.

Perez too, apart from that terrible miss, though in fairness he created it. Ober, dude, I’m speechless, I’ll leave it there…

It was a good goal by Crouch, but I cannot help thinking Krul is partly to blame!

    …his positioning was really bad

Carver is trying his best, with what he has been given, he is as honest as the day is long, but is he the right man for the job?

P45DUE struggled at times, defended Ashley whenever he could, but, in the end, he bailed out at the first clear oportunity he had.

The problem is the owner refusing to provide a squad with the skill and the depth to compete every game; with a Manager / Head Coach who has the skill and ability to do the Job. There is just no getting away from the fact that Ashley is simply not doing his job.

He has had 7 years to get his 5 year plan in place and we are still waiting for any positive signs its going to happen. It was bad enough watching it on TV – I would have hated spending £150 to go and watch it live.

    Jesper,
though Crouch is statistically and obviously the best header of the ball, if you’d given him 20 chances to squeeze that between two reasonably positioned players, he couldn’t do it, I think.
In one way it’s a fair result because Colb should be off. In another, we made Stoke look really poor. We should’ve run away with this.

Poor quality from both sides today, neither deserved anything. We missed two sitters at key times.

Still no cohesion in attack and defense, other than the odd moment. Vast improvements needed, especially at the back.

It’s a shame we didn’t get a win because this gives the opportunity to all of us to criticise. For example, I focused on that player whom should have been sold by now.

But, there are so many good things going it’s a shame fans are discussing other issues. In desperation to blame MA for everything, we forget them.

MA is blamed for not setting up a top team but it’s a good group nonetheless. Unless you do not want to see it, people like Krul, Jan, Haidi, (Colo too), Colb, Siss, (even Anita), Ameobi, Cabs, Perez, are very decent footballers. Would you switch them with the Stoke players? Or many other teams?

We are knocking the door to the better teams’ level: Spurs, Liverpool, City, Chelsea.

Player for player, or as a group, the rest are no better than us.

Typical Man u nicking a last minute goal. What I did notice on tv was the energy levels at West Ham v Man u were far superior to our match and the atmosphere in the ground, something for their fans to be passionate about.

Cyprus the difference is those teams have players in there right positions and usually at least 2 players for each position

We have a squad made up of players that were bought purely on they were cheap not because we needed them that’s why we have a load of cm and lb’s an only 2 cb and strikers and no wingers

The whole set up is wrong

In my opinion i couldn’t believe we didn’t see the obvious when crouch came on. Which is stopping them from feeding the giant by cutting out the supply crosses . but we were cut out of shape

the two chance that we missed.. i was devasted…. obertan hopefully with a bit more confidence and more game time he will catch that rich vein of form…

Perez i thought he ran himself in to the ground and thats why he fluffed his lines…

what really irritates me is… we played long balls to perez in the 1st half.. the lads dribbling style is very close to suarexz and is best when the ball is played in to his feet…

we should play riviere off perez…

I don’t understand the fascination with Anita. Besides 1 hood intercept and a nice ball over the top he was missing for the game. I understand his job is to cover the back 4 and offer protection but abeid is a far better option.

Williamson too…clumsy on the ball. Job is to win ball in the box…i don’t recall him winning any headers…no where for crouch header.

We were an average at best

Sign to sign up some of the young lads on contracts. Sammy ..Rolando. .Abeid. ..perez.

nufc@28 Confidence is exactly what Obertan hasn’t got, and never will have. He can run like the wind, nowt wrong with his legs but, unfortunately, there’s no heart at all. He was exactly the wrong man to have the ball in that position.

I used to think of Thierry Henry when he was a fast winger, then converted to a devastating goal scorer and fondly imagine if Gaby could acquire that confidence he could be brilliant.
    I gave up on that.

Cyprus put it this way we have a top 8 first 11-14 but after that no chance

Imagine if we had a couple of injuries to janmaat and Collo right now would you be confident in there replacements?

    Or cisse and Perez?

Ashley has gambled again and it’s now beyond a joke tbh

Yeah there’s worse squads ability wise but overall equipped for this league I think we’re near the bottom

2 fit CB says it all after another profitable window

ohn Carver has warned Remy Cabella he must respect his team-mates after the Frenchman’s angry reaction at being subbed against Stoke City.

The playmaker threw his water bottle down in frustration after being withdrawn against Stoke and Carver hopes that his actions are not repeated.

Well at least he has passion…

he should have stayed on it was sammy that should have been subbed

P.S. Anita must not be DM!! why could both Pard and JC don’t understand that?? He’s like a little mouse running around bunch of giant. No header No power and No counter attack..

    A list of EPL owners

Stan Kroenke Alisher Usmanov and Farhad Moshiri , Randy Lerner , Chee Yioun ,Vincent Tan – Michael Isaac Roman Abramovich, Steve Parish, Martin Long, Stephen Browett and Jeremy Hosking , Bill Kenwright , Jon Woods , Robert Earl Shahid Khan, Assem Allam, John W Henry , Sheikh Mansour, the Glazer Family Michael Wynn Jones ,.Markus Liebherr Denise Coates, daughter of chairman, Peter, and family.
Ellis Short ,Martin Morgan, Brian Katzen, Huw Jenkins ,Robert Davies ,Joe Lewis, Daniel Levy

I have just looked at dozens of different footy blogs — not one of the above gets a mention

NUFC is the only club whose blog’s mentions the owner when the team concedes a late goal
yet if Crouchy hadn’t scored that jammy late equaliser not a peep about Ashley would have been seen ………un- flippin -believable…….
no wonder Toon fans are becoming a laughing stock
