Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In 1-1 Draw Tonight?

It was another boring draw tonight at Crystal Palace even though Newcastle went ahead in the game for the third time running, and though we seemed solid enough in defense we again allowed an equalizer after 71 minutes so just one point from the game , when we really needed three to ignite the season.

But we didn’t lose, which would have been catastrophic and so that’s good – we suppose – but next time we meet Alan Pardew’s team, we need a top coach in charge of Newcastle.

Fraizer equalizes for Palace

Campbell Fraizer equalizes after 71 minutes

We have crawled up to 32 points from 25 games played, six points from six games since Alan Pardew left, and the only positive thing is we are probably safe from relegation, given that we can get a few wins before the end of the season, but we need to show a lot more urgency in these games.

Who was it that said our season was over when we played a very weak side the in the FA Cup and lost 1-0 to Leicester City?

They were right.

Newcastle seem to be just limping along – and that’s ridiculous with 13 games left in the season.

Oh for some ambition from those in charge of this football club, and we did notice that Mike Ashley was not at the game tonight.

And with four minutes to go in the game John Carver replaced Remy Cabella with Paul Dummett, hardly a move that was trying to win the game for Newcastle.

If we had won the game tonight we would have gone above both Swansea and Stoke and into 9th place.

On a positive note – since most fans in our poll thought we would lose this game, that disaster didn’t happen.

That’s something to be happy about – isn’t it?

Cisse because he took the sole chance we had well, but even him I’d give a 6/10, so that says everything about the rest.

Wtf did you expect exactly with Carver, he s Pardew s pet, same pussy philosophy same love for workhorses. You can recognize a bad coach as the time he needs to change something in the game, like making substitutions. I still think that even Beardsley would be a better option till the end of the season

I could understand the great heap of gloominess if we had lost but in game that the majority predicted we would lose, a draw seems underwhelmingly satisfactory.

i don’t even think a boycott will work, football tickets now only count for a fraction of the income, it might infact be a helping to ashley, more space for SD advertisement.

The biggest income we get is from the TV revenue and therefore it’s that he would hate to see lost. So either get ourselves totaly relegated and rebuild a team of local passionate footballers like we had last time. If not then atleast begin with an awful run forcing him to start panic buying and perhaps one day realize how bad our team is.

QPR, Leicester and now Villa looking for a new manager.

Ashley must see an opportunity to make another killing – he’ll be on the phone selling Carver now.

No bums on seats means no televised match, means no SD exposure, Why do you think Ashley does the cheap tickets, He’s not doing it to be nice to the fans, he hates us.

To put it in perspective we could get wat our total turn over is now just from tv money so the tickets an merchandise wouldn’t be that bad to him especially when he’s still making 30 – 40 mill profits already

Another dismal game. Aside from the goal what did we do in attack? Watched Cisse give the ball away many times, as did Sissoko. Two dross teams.

Isn’t exciting? We’re 17th in defensive stats! That means we’re not a relegation side defensively. Tremendous accomplishment after 8 years Ashley. You must be so proud. 👿

the TV revenue is divided equilly between all the teams, the fans don’t make one bit of difference to the game, we are currently a totally silent fan base already and all he’ll need to do is allow more tickets for away fans and overall we’ll never manage a total boycott as you’ve still got the children and their parents.

even if he doesn’t get as many TV games, he’ll have to get highlights because it’s not fair on the opposition team missing out on highlights, he can also get much more headlines in newspapers because every time cashley gets mentioned his SD will be mentioned too.

Perez seems to be fading. Still works hard but looks very frustrated. He hasn’t looked very good for quite a while now. But what do we have to replace him with? Riviere? 😆 Ferrerya? 😆

we either need to be relegated or having relegation battles going on for the next couple of season. He’s currently guarenteed to see us suvive and therefore is assured the next seasons TV money.

Didn’t see the whole game saw the highlights, honestly why oh why are we still playing Willo. From what I saw for there goal Willo looked right at Campbell and let him run around the back side and score. This guy is a complete Donkey/ slow / kill us / waste of time.
It looked like tonight it was Alan Pardew Team V Alan Pardews team. For Christ sake Carver be your own man.

I agree re Perez but he has been played a lot for a first season too much I think
I do wonder if my criticism of Tiotie ,changing the subject ,has been unfair
It seems our defensive performances have been impacted by his absence
Many be he does more in the engine room than we think
The one thing for certain is Sissoko is defensively lazy and when he gives the ball away is often seen wondering back with no urgency

No defender would have stopped that it was a brilliant cross from deep willo was in the right position i.e keeping the line

It was just a brilliant cross simple as that can’t blame willo for it

We dont really miss Tiote actually have defended decent in the last few games bar the crosses for the goals

If Tiote was playing he would have been hounded off the ball so much inviting pressure

Carver needs to drop some and rest some Perez looks done in , Cabella needs to be put in the middle and Sissoko needs dropped for a game or 2 Janmaat looks like he is running on empty smart move getting rid of Santon !!!

City in 2 weeks will probably beat us so might as well freshen it up with Riviere and Obertan coming in

Manx, Are you smoking some serious weed.
Cant blame him, he looked right at him and didn’t go with the player. If he was a little more mobile he could have at least gone with him, he’s to old and to slow.
When Willo has played most of this season we have lost Simple Fact!!!!!!!!!!

you look at the game in a whole new way , I mean your on another level,
Williamson was right next to him and watched him , didn’t do anything , that is and should be williamsons ball all day , it didn’t even have pace on it ,

charver proves yet again why he isn’t good enough,

Ok Willo at least if he went with the player could of maybe put him off, No!!!!!!!!!!. It not that he may or may not have stopped it, its that he gets bypassed by players all the time. He was relegated with Portsmouth and Newcastle thought wow we could use this guy, sorry but never purchase defenders from relegated teams.
Why were they relegated, due to the amount of goals scored against them, due to lack of defending. Don’t get me wrong last year he looked not bad but one year older and a little more slower he just looks average and that’s pushing it.
