Another Injury Further Weakens The Newcastle Squad

There is not good news tonight for Newcastle fans, as Cheick Tiote may be out for the rest of the season with the knee injury he picked up while playing for Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations.

Cheick Tiote – has had scan on knee

Cheick has had a scan on the knee, and we should know within the next 24 hours on just how bad his injury is.

The 28 year-old defensive midfielder did not communicate with the club while he was at Equatorial Guinea so our medics are just now trying to ascertain how bad the injury is.

There are rumors the injury could be so bad that Cheick may have already played his last game for Newcastle, and he could miss the final (vital) 13 games of the season.

Whatever happens,  there is a very good chance that Cheick will be sold in the summer.

Cheick will likely be out a number of weeks in the best case scenario – but we’ll know soon enough.

We have already lost center-back Steven Taylor for the season, which means we have only two experienced center-backs available – Colo and Willo – with Newcastle not bothering to bring in any cover last month.

And we have lost Siem de Jong probably for the season on Tuesday when he suffered another collapsed lung, which is very worrying from a medical viewpoint, so there’s a creative player who has not been available for us this season.

With Newcastle not bothering to bring in any players last month, and not bothering to replace Alan Pardew with an experienced coach, it’s really hard to think the powers that be at the club care too much about where we finish in the league table in May.

Le Charnley says top ten is still the minimum requirement for the club, but he’s done nothing to assist in that goal.

The sooner we get to 40 points the happier we will be.

Clearout in the summer. The fat twat is already asset stripping the club in readiness for his bale out to Rangers.

I expect to see every possible saleable asset sold with Krul Tiote Sissoko Cisse and Aarons gone and possibly Janmaat too.

I cant believe thus twat is being allowed to ruin our once great club.

There is a lot experience there walking out the door that we will replace with foreign bargains if we don’t get a decent manager and we don’t hit the ground running
next season could be worse than tbis

There was a bloke from Virgin on News at Ten – gist was that re the new tv money deal the matter was being looked at by Ofcom – who could bin the whole deal and order all the participants to go through the whole process again.
Also that because of the increasd money this will result in Sky and BT hiking up their prices in 2016 in order to pay for it.
So in reality not a particularly good deal -this money will kill football.

Shot Bru – it’s going to get worse during the run in, I suspect there will be more gaffes/embarassment to the club. This will be complimented by the shenaganigans at Ibrox. We have regressed.

I see only Vuckic played last night for Rangers.

Rangers won’t go up this season…wonder how Ashley will view the situation when they spend next season in the Scottish Championship.

    Rangers are up against it.

Play of places are available as well to teams in Scotland…Rangers though are looking shocking.

Mr Tuff – The TV deal is apparently more about the fans etc we will see how club and broadcasters deal with it all!!

our toon – the bloke from Sky – it was I suspect a bit of sour grapes but he said the PL have a monopoly product and they got a monopoly product price from Sky and BT.
Really folks who may not like football who are customers of Sky and BT are going to pay for it all- excessive wages, pots of gold to folk like Mr Tubbs. PL have some responsibility -all they are interested in is the cash.

Tiote is a big miss in our way to survival.
I am not big fan of Anita and Abeid.Tiote may not had a good season bcoz of injuries, but when he is fit,he is very good defensive midfielder.Unless it is done and dusted,I disagree with those who think we are completely safe. And tiote will have been key for that battle b/c he has more experience in that area than Anita and Abeid. If we lose to city next and all others below us win, that will be a warning.Relegation is the worst incident to sustain in football world!!
