40 year-old Glaswegian Dougie Freedman has been in charge of Nottingham Forest since early February and in the six league games he has managed so far he has won five and drew 4-4 at bottom placed Blackpool for a total of 16 points our of a possible 18.

Nottingham Forest had another good win yesterday at Reading by 3-0 with three second half goals, and Newcastle players Darlow and Lascelles again played the whole game.
Second half goals from Ben Osborn, Matty Fryatt and Gary Gardner did the trick and that was the third three goal win under the Scot in his six games.
While it was Forest’s fifth win in six, it was also Reading’s fourth defeat in the last five league games.
Nottingham Forest are now 9 points behind 6th placed Norwich who have 59 points, and with 12 games left in the season it’s still possible for Forest to make the playoffs.
And if they do they will be the team in form, having made up so much ground.
So it’s still a possibility for Forest to win promotion, and that would also be great experience for Newcastle players goalkeeper Karl Darlow and Jamaal Lascelles, who seem to be playing their part in the great Forest revival.
Let’s hope it continues – it would be great to have Nottingham Forest back in the Premier League.
They won the European Cup twice under the great Brian Clough in 1979 and 1980, always ably assisted by his right hand man Peter Taylor.
We paid £7M in total for Darlow and Lascelles last summer, and agreed to a loan spell for the season at Forest, and they are due to join the Newcastle first team squad in the summer.
