Head Coach Carver Well Prepared Against One Of World’s Best

Both Tim Krul and Daryl Janmaat were part of the Dutch squad managed by Louis van Gaal, who gained 3rd place in the World Cup in Brazil last year, after being beaten finalists in the previous World Cup in South Africa.

Louis van Gaal – one of the best coaches in the world

As a result,  Holland remain the best team never to have won a World Cup, and they were a bit unlucky to go out to Argentina on penalties in the semi-final stage last July.

Louis van Gaal was hired by Manchester United last summer to replace the sacked David Moyes, and Louis  brings his Red Devils to Newcastle tomorrow night.

Daryl Janmaat has talked today about one of the World’s top football coaches:

“Both me and Tim have experience of working under Louis van Gaal, but he is so adaptable that it is still hard to know what he is going to do,”

“We really want to win Wednesday’s game, and they have a lot riding on it as well, so it should be a good occasion. I am sure John Carver will be very well prepared and he won’t really need to call on us for any advice.”

“He is a fantastic trainer and he has had a magnificent career. I have been very fortunate to work with him and I cannot say a bad word about him.”

“He is one of the best trainers I have ever worked with, and if you see how he works tactically, it is great. He always seems to know what to do to win a game.”

“I think they have a great team, with some fantastic players. Also, the trainer is fantastic. He just needs a little bit of time. He is still fairly new there, and once he gets that time, I am sure he will win prizes for Manchester United.”

“It was important to show a good reaction at the weekend against Villa. I don’t think the game was necessarily the best we’ve played, but we won.”

“We had some decent possession and showed some fight, and we just needed to get the victory. That was the really important thing.”

“The second half was better and we controlled the game well. We knew it was really important to win this game. It’s taken us to 35 points and now Wednesday is a fantastic game to look forward to.”

Van Gaal is still trying to find out which system best fits his players at Old Trafford, and it will be interesting to see what formation he uses against Newcastle, and whether he will play three or four at the back.

It’s also a good chance for inexperienced John Carver to match his wits against a coach who is acknowledged to be one of the best in the world, which is why Manchester United hired the Dutchman last summer.

John Carver may get the Newcastle job permanently in the summer, but he has to start winning more games, like getting all 3 points tomorrow night.

Only one in four fans think we can win this game.

Can’t see the mancs settling for just the points here to be honest. Think they’ll see it as an opportunity to boost their goal difference. If Van Gaal watched the Villa game he’ll fancy his lot to get 4 or 5, maybe more. Our performance is irrelevant in a sense. If they are on their game we don’t have the capacity to get anywhere near them. Just like against citeh.
