Mike Ashley’s Total Wealth Takes A Hit

Mike Ashley didn’t have such a good year last year, and as far as his personal fortune goes, Mike has dropped 62 places in the Forbes Billionaire list from number 256 last year to 318 this year.

Mike Ashley at Stoke

Mike Ashleyy – no wonder he doesn’t look happy 😀

Mike is now worth is around $4.9B, and wouldn’t you feel just a little bit depressed and disappointed if your wealth had decreased by $600M over the last year.

Mike Ashley was worth $5.5B on last year’s list.

Ashley is now the 10th richest person in the UK and this is what Forbes said about the Sport Direct tycoon:

“Reclusive British tycoon Michael Ashley started his sports-clothing chain after leaving school in 1982. He took it public in 2007 and pocketed $1.8 billion from the IPO. He then took a shot at turning around Premier League soccer club Newcastle.”

“He has since tried to sell it, twice, and upset fans by renaming its home stadium the Sports Direct Arena. He remains Sports Direct’s Executive Deputy Chairman.”

That’s unchanged word for word from last year.

Mike’s worth is basically in Sports Direct shares and obviously his wealth on paper changes very day depending on the price of Sports Direct stock.

The top five on the Forbes  list are as follows:

Bill Gates – $79.2B – Microsoft, USA
Carlos Slim Helu – $77.1B Telcom, Mexico
Warren Buffett -$72.7B Berkshire Hathaway, USA
Amancio Ortega – $64.5B Zara, Spain
Larry Ellison – $54.3B Oracle, USA

Moving to something much more important and meaningful – we need a win tonight against Manchester United!

I also think 442 is asking for trouble tonight. Man utd will control the midfield and the ball it’s important to press them though rather then standoff like we did against Citeh.

Raylor at LB or anywhere on the pitch is a massive liability, those clamouring for his return will soon be blasting carver for playing him there!!
