Newcastle Beaten By Late Winner From Young

Newcastle gave away a terrible goal after 89 minutes tonight and literally gifted Manchester United the 1-0 win – as Wayne Rooney took the ball into the penalty area – Mehdi Abeid got the ball and instead of clearing the ball, he passed it back to Krul on the goal line, and Tim was under pressure as he couldn’t control the ball, and he hit it straight to Young who took the gift and scored the winner.

Fellaini – in action tonight

This was yet another late goal that cost Newcastle points at home, and tonight’s game was another poor one against two under-performing sides – but a minute after the gift goal it was de Gea who had to make a terrific save from a Papiss Cisse header.

This was at least one point thrown away by Newcastle and we had enough chances to have won this game – but so did the Red Devils.

Newcastle should have had a penalty after only 10 minutes when Manu Riviere was brought down in the penalty box and we’d like for the referee to explain how that wasn’t a penalty.

Wayne Rooney seemed to think he was offside after 26 minutes and put the ball wide of the goal with only Krul to beat – maybe the miss of the season.

Emmanuel Riviere had two good chances to score in the game, but for the first one he lost his footing when put through,  and then he didn’t get enough contact on a Coloccini header and de Gea cleared the ball somehow with his left hand.

The French striker has lost his confidence.

Papiss Cisse missed a golden chance to score in the second half after a quick breakaway but he put his shot wide – and really should have done better.

And Jonas Gutierrez came on in the second half after being out for 17 months and he got a wonderful ovation from the crowd.

But this was a terrible to lose a game and after a mediocre performance we couldn’t even take a point out of what was another dull game.

We’ll have a full report out soon.

It’s a shame Krul had to pull a stunt like that so late in the game…we could have gotten and undeserved point today!

…well maybe it will help us not getting JC as Head Coach (we need all the help we can get on that one 😉 )

I missed the match today but looking at the stats on my phone I guessed we played poor?

    1 – 0 though it’s better than 5-0, 4-0, 3-0

Sissoko, Perez and Krul did ok. The rest were pathetic. Gutierrez did a few good things. That run at the end was good. Looks like he’s lost a bit of weight. Think he was too heavy last time he played for us.

Poor game, not a lot to shout about as per usual. Thought Sissoko had a canny game. Manure just shaded it for me but we are desperate for quality players next season.

As somebody said earlier why not give a few young players a chance for the rest of the season, surely can’t be any worse than Obertan and the likes.

The goal was so poor to give away !

We should have had a penalty.
We might not have deserved to win.
But our team should have had a penalty.

Just made myself late for work. Hoping for the equaliser!!
All things considered pretty happy. We played OK. They were kinda crap by Man U standards. Felt bad for Riviere, just couldn’t catch a break. Definate penalty. Oh well bring on Everton!!

We played to our usual standard, before the game most thought we’d be beat and we did.
Man u are a shadow of their former days otherwise we would have been ripped apart.
probably a draw would have been a fair result.

NOT A GREAT DAY TO GO INTO WORK WITH A LOAD OF SMUG MANCS .(and plastic Asian fans who are more annoying )
Jeff @275 interesting theory on how to improve form spat my coffee out reading that.:)
maybe you should do the post match instead of carver ..it would be more entertaining if polarising than the banal cliché from the man who worked with sir bobby.

Alien heed needs putting down. Truly woeful at football.

First half we were shite. Second half we at least tried to close them down and apply pressure at times but lacked the drive to push on once in possession. General lack of cohesion and decisiveness with the ball.

What could Abeid of done? He’d tracked back with goofy, they won the ball and it’s so close to his legs and he’s off balance that if he kicked it anywhere bar krul it wouldn’t of gone far. Krul couldn’t adjust his legs so kicks poor but what was janmaat doing? Stood there watching with his thumb up his arse marking no fcuker when he should of been marking young. Comedy of errors has let us down along with poor finishing when presented with chances.

Overall another carver masterclass on how NOT to be a head coach.

    Seen the cisse/Evans spitting saga.

Clearly Evans spits at cisse as he’s getting up and cisse reacts angrily. What’s unclear for me is – did cisse actually spit back? All the angles I’ve seen it doesn’t show. He just leans in slightly and looks like he’s gonna nut him. He could of spat I don’t know but I can’t see it.

All this slagging Abeid! All Krul had to do was pick it up. no way Ref would have given back pass in all that carry on!!
