Everton Fans Have High Anxiety – It Was Strange

John Carver and his assistant coaches Steve Stone and former Everton captain and caretaker manager Dave Watson were at Goodison Park on Thursday night to watch Everton as they beat Dynamo Kiev in the Europa League.

The coaches were checking out our opponents for Sunday afternoon at Goodison Park.

Dynamo scored first after only  14 minutes and the crowd were rather apprehensive before Naismith equalized after 39 minutes and Lukaku scored the winner from a penalty after 82 minutes.

The crowd seemed to be rather anxious in that first half and John Carver talked about that:

“I’ve got to be honest, I was scared because it was pretty daunting,” “I was there with Steve and Dave who is an Everton legend, and he’d never seen or heard anything like that before.”

“He found it quite strange.”  “All the pressure this weekend is on Everton, not ourselves. I’ve told our guys they can go out and express themselves”

“Everton came out of the game with great credit, showing character to win after going behind, dominating the second half and deserving the result.”

“But all the pressure this weekend is on Everton, not ourselves.” “I’ve told our guys they can go out and express themselves.”

Of course if Everton beat us on Sunday then they close the current 7 point gap to just four points, and we’ve gained just one point a game under John Carver in the Premier League, and that’s not good going.

We need to start winning some games soon, so we can keep our of any relegation scares.

Newcastle really need to win and the advantages seem to be with us, but there again we’ve hardly been playing well recently.

We hope we can get all 3 points – we need them.

    Belfast
I think of you more like the blog lifeguard
Sitting on your high chair watching over us all splashing about in the blog pool.
Ocassionally blowing your whistle and bollocking Mr Tuff for trying to drown Welshie
And reporting BandB to her mother for peeing in the pool

    From the diving board

easy way to finish him off – certainly not drowning. I would just put some extra weight on the bridge causing it to collapse – job done.

Poor John Carver is talking about Tiote having crutches ETC. Oh what a shame he is now blaming injury’s to players as the reason we are not up their.

I am a big fan of Abeid.
Losing him makes me doubt we can get a win on Sunday.
Hope he isn’t out for more than this game.

Don’t understand why so many are enamoured by Abeid; He has a lot of learning to do before he is ready, as demonstrated in the last game.

Abeid was poor in our last game.Glad he will not play on Sunday. He looked Shakey since he returned from injury. He needs to go out on loan to other lower division to learn more of British football. Otherwise,I prefer sell him & replace him with equal young prospect.

That last Fans Forum meeting was interesting, although the main question that should have raised from the fans ‘d have been about the next head coach, instead of wasting the time talking about the already gone mbiwa and santon.I don’t understand why people see it lightly about the next managerial appointment. It is the most important from all and should be the priority in the summer.Fans should have pushed and pushed the representatives to make sure they make the right appointment, otherwise it will be same old same thing again next season or beyond.
Fans should fight their own part to make the board hire proper manager if they want to see some excitement before it’s too late!!
