Finally – Some Excellent News For Newcastle

There’s some excellent news for Newcastle fans today that Siem de Jong is ready to return to training after suffering his collapsed lung in early February, when he was so close to a return to the first team.

Siem de Jong Oldham

Siem de Jong – to return to training

At that time he was said to be out for eight weeks,  but it looks like he is ready to resume training – at least on his own to begin with.

This is what Siem has said on his Twitter account:

“The last X-ray was all good. So I will start training for myself again.”

Of course the priority is making sure Siem is OK physically, and that he doesn’t come back too early,  but hopefully the problem he had that caused him to have two collapsed lungs in 18 months  has now been fixed.

That would be good news indeed.

Siem is not only a classy player who can score goals, but he is also a leader and strong in the dressing room, and we need some of that leadership right now.

So just having Siem back in training and maybe even part of the match day squad will have very beneficial effects on the team.

It’s good news about Siem de Jong, and we don’t get much good news these days.

Now we need to hear that Rolando Aarons is fully recovered from his hamstring problems and we may even be back in business.

Maybe.

Link to the Football Ground we should have had in 1997 SJH era.

Some good news at least. Hopefully his presence in training and around the 1st team will increase positivity and help with results on the pitch.

No need to rush him though. Essential to make sure he’s 100% ok, even if it means missing the rest of the season. HWTL.

Well well Jeffrey – you like to dish it out but get the lip on when the roles are reversed.
Your Damascus road conversion to being pleasant is a process which has not been completed, as every now and again, you revert to norm and start dishing it out.
A salutory lesson learned old bean?

First of all, welcome back Siem. Can’t really say you’ve been sorely missed though as we haven’t really seen you in action (through no fault of your own)

All the nationals are running with headlines like “timely boost for toon” “toon boosted for Saturday”

He’s been out a month and isn’t returning to training until tomorrow and was out for four months before that so hardly a boost for this weekend is it.

What planet are they on? Perhaps Jeffrey can tell us as it seems to be the same one he (currently) occupies.

Why would you lie about where you live. Who the fcuk knows. Maybe because your a massive twat? Yeah, I’m going with that.

He definitely said he was living in Whitley Bay. And that he was a postman. Working alongside Mag92, who had the same round.
But then he was BFPO Afghanistan. Before that he was 12 and lived in India.

And still getting Europa League qualifiers all the time.

    Aye, welcome back OG.

I’d double/triple check anything Google Jeffrey billy/bob/ted posts if it were of any relevance/interest. His hit rate/accuracy’s pretty poor.

I’m probably going to get the P ripped out of me again.
But this could be Pellegrinis big moment tonight
To pull this tie out of the fire at the Camp Nou would be up there with the best.
Wonder if Messi will end this evening regretting that missed diving header after the pen

While all the time, Mag92, the Guvnor, and all the other blog pests of a year or two ago (I wish Jail was here…he remembered them all) were managing to stay pen pals with Welshgeordie9.

BandB you missed out the bit where I lived in Chipping Norton and became Jeremy’s best mate and met all the people he worked with , and realised that he was really just a big misunderstood pussycat

    Mr T

He fools some with his new “him” act. Truth be told, much like you touched upon, he reverts to type not long after. It’s almost as if he can’t hold the vileness in anymore and just blurts it out. Multiple personality disorder as attested by his multiple accounts on here. Saddo.

I reckoned that by coaxing him out of moderation after Mag92 was banned, I could get him to stick to the one name and tie himself in knots. Which I think he has.

Sadly, Jail may have taken the huff over it.

I did read somewhere recently OG that even if the car park land around the metro were to be sold, for student accommodation for some reason, that the stadium could still be expanded at the Gallowgate by around an extra 7,000 seats.
Add to that some safe standing and any “new” owner could still be looking and a good 60,000 + stadium.

bugger all to play for now and far too much to expect siem to be our savior so i’m hoping to see our best players inc siem/rolando/cabella/janmaat/sissoko/cisse/krull stay fit and healthy and not be sold at the end of the season.

i also think goofy could become a great lb and better than what we currently have !

as for cb we have been doing rubbish and will carry on doing rubbish considering its been our first choice cb’s that are doing so poorly so why not try and blood the next generation to give them some experience ? good/satka may aswell push them in the deep end and see how they do imo.

Sadly there are a few decent posters missing these days. Of course it’s cyclical, as some realise their lives contain more important things than keeping a virtual conversation on the potboiler, but it’s a shame to see old friends and foes alike just drift away. I used to enjoy some classic blog moments and in depth conversations. Of course there were differences and awkward moments, virtual walkouts but these days the constant attrition of Ashleys reign has taken it’s toll across the broad spectrum of the nufc fanbase, and the barometer of this is the blogosphere. It now seems to attract many more cranks, imposters, troublemakers and irritants than ever before.

I for one can feel my days contributing (if it could ever be called that) coming to their natural demise.
