A Shocking Admission From Charnley And Ashley

John Carver have his press conference for the game against arsenal on Saturday and John was asked questions about different things.

Lee Charnley and Mike Ashley – we may be a little short at the back

One of them was on the shortage of available played where we only have 13 experienced outfield players plus two goalkeepers available and the question was that with John trying to get the job permanently in the summer it was as if he’s got two hands tied behind his back.

This is how John answered the question:

“The one thing I will say is that I spoke to Lee Charnley and he’s obviously spoke to Mikey, and they have acknowledged the fact that yes – we are a little bit short at the back –  in particular at center-back.”

“But there’s a process in place and I’ve been involved in that process in the last few weeks, we’ve got a big meeting coming up in the next two weeks with Lee Charnley and Graham Carr to talk about the future, to talk about the investment in the summer.”

“There’s going to be investment and I can tell you that because I’ve seen who we are looking at without going into detail, so there’s a lot of work being done behind the scenes.”

“And this football club will invest in the summer because it needs it.”

A little bit short at the back – we’ve had only three experienced center-backs all season and now just one who’s available, and we allowed Davide Santon to leave on the last day of the January transfer window.

Steven Taylor and Paul Dummett are out injured for the rest of season, and Massadio Haidara has a troublesome knee and Colo is suspended for three games – so it’s lot more than a little bit short.

And up front Newcastle never replaced striker Loic Remy last summer.

So we would hope there will be some (significant) investment in the summer, especially after the financial results are released within the next week or so – which will show we’ve had plenty of money to spend – Ashley just decided not to spend it.

And we still have nine games left to go this season with a very threadbare squad – so it will be interesting to see how many points we’ll get in those final nine games.

In John’s 10 league games so far he has just 9 points with two wins and three draws in the league, and in the last eight games of last season we got one win – just 3 points.

Let’s hope it’s better this time around, but our squad has been hit  harder than it was last year at this time, with long term injuries and suspensions.

(wheres the broon sauce you twat)

Thats when JC throws him a sachet of Brown Bomber (laxative)

That’s the Frenchman knackered for his team talk and he probably won’t make it to the dugout until the 2nd half.

He might have talked to Charnley but he should have done Tha in January, forcefully!

He didn’t and was happy with the squad – after Santon was shipped out.

Did he remind Charnley that we’ve been short of a striker and a CB for some time? I doubt II t as he sounded as though he was more concerned about getting the HC role than potentially telling him about the reality.

Have Ashley and Charnley attended matches and watched cringingly inept performances from poor players? Yes of course they have. Did they really need to be told that we’re short of decent players? Clearly, yes and that in itself is disgraceful when 50000 fans can see it.

Carver’s shown himself to be a toady and a sycophant who deserves to be sacked for being so bloody spineless.

Let’s hope that Charnley’s humoring him but I doubt it because the longer he’s allowed to continue, the more convinced he’ll be he’s got the HC job going forward.

    What a bloody shambles!

So Ed does that convince you to fall in line with all the other anti Fatman blogs/sites/fanzines or do you still believe in Santa, Loch Ness and fairies at the bottom of your garden ?

Listening to Carver spouting the company line and soft soaping the fans (trying to) is disappointing and adding to the demoralising of the regime and the performances on the pitch,

Really, Carver, I ask you, is Phil Neville’s ‘flop-flops’ comment any more insulting to the players than this drivel is to the fans? The players are well-paid and probably deserve it. The fans pay for the privilege of supporting OUR team and we certainly do not. Clearly, from the tone of this, there’s no chance you will do us all a favour and go gracefully. I’m starting to hope we get trounced on Saturday and go on to lose the rest of the matches you are in charge. I honestly think it will be for the best.
