I Feel Fresh Now And It’s Good For Me

Ayoze Perez showed again on Saturday that he is an up and coming talent at Newcastle, and we just hope Newcastle can hold onto him in the summer,  with some top clubs wanting to sign him.

Ayoze Perez – in good form

It seems like it was a good move to rest Ayoze for a few games recently, and he seems to have regained his sharpness and he was very unlucky on Saturday not to score against Arsenal in the second half.

This is what Perez has told the Shields Gazette today:

“Sometimes a player needs a bit of a rest,” “I think it’s good – I don’t have a problem with the decision.”

“Rest is good sometimes – I feel better,” “I feel fresh now, and it’s good for me. If he wants me to play, I’m ready.”

“The manager said the truth – we conceded two goals,” “We can’t gift them that. He told us that we needed to improve and be strong, and we did.”

“We must play all the games like that,” “We need to keep working and training hard for the derby.” “Arsenal have top players, but in the second half we were stronger. We had chances.”

“We played better in the second half. I think we could have scored a goal and drawn the match. We had a good second half, and we now have a break before the derby.”

“We’re a bit disappointed, as I think we could have drawn the match.” “We need to train now and prepare for the next match.”

Next up for Newcastle is the derby game at Sunderland, and over the last few seasons Sunderland’s season has basically been the games against Newcastle, and they have won the last four, but are again in a relegation fight.

So hopefully the young striker can get back to his scoring ways a week on Sunday, and a win would certainly be very welcome after three defeats in a row.

I think Jonas should start derby game, it could be his last derby as NUFC player.
I hope he get extended contract or working as NUFC coach.

Santon…isn’t it a bit cheeky saying Jonas is proving everyone on the blog wrong?

…it’s not like we lost faith in him over night!

Honest John said yesterday that we won’t believe the signings we’re going to get in the summer and the vast majority of comments left on the thread said you’re right John, we won’t believe it.
