Newcastle Could Be Exposed By International Call-Up

After Daryl Janmaat played so well for Newcastle in central defense on Saturday against Arsenal, it has also coincided with him being recalled to the Holland squad for the upcoming games against Turkey and Spain.

World Cup qualifier - Holland v Turkey

Krul and Janmaat in action for Holland

Daryl was dropped from the Holland squad earlier this season, but he’s been one of Newcastle’s best players and showed on Saturday against Arsenal he’s as good at center-back as he is at right back.

With Daryl being in such good form, it’s a good bet he will play maybe both games for Holland, and of course there’s the danger that he could be injured.

With Newcastle’s luck this season with injuries that could happen.

🙁

Anyway looking on the bright side (have you noticed how that’s becoming more difficult at Newcastle?) – Daryl is already an improved player this season, and he is very popular with the Newcastle fans.

He also shows good character and leadership abilities, and he’s always available to talk to the press after embarrassing defeats.

So much so he could make a very good future captain for Newcastle.

Let’s hope Daryl stays fit so he can line up in central defense against Sunderland a week on Sunday – a game we must not lose and should be winning.

And it wouldn’t surprise us too much if Louis van Gaal comes in for Janmaat in the summer, and tries to take him to the Red Devils.

All it would take is a good offer and Mike Ashley would do the sums – and then quickly sell him.

we are screwed. I knew FDB was a long shot, but i thought Penfold would have charmed Diego into heading north.

The one I’m worried about is Krul , he always comes back from a Dutch International get-together injured , whether he plays or not ?

    Hi Munster aka mr fickle,

It’s a Tuesday so I guess we’ll hear a different tune from you today or maybe you’ll reprise yet again how now all of a sudden Pardew didn’t deserve the abuse of several 1000 people who orchestrated a sack him campaign.

In your eyes I seem to be the only one who wanted pardew gone even though at one point you used to say how poor and average he was.

I stick to what I said about pardew because it happens to be true. If you want to change horses mid-stream, just because Pardew has had a half decent run at CP that’s your call.

The sackpardew mob are a spineless bunch if you ask me, they gained a lot of support on the back of anti Ashley feeling and the promise that they would turn their attention to the owner when Pardew was gone, maybe they’re waiting until the summer to see what manager comes in, if Carver is appointed and we don’t hear anything from them then they’ve only achieved half a job.

To be a good future captain he still has to be at the club and not been Ashley’d for money.
