If we were to hazard a guess, we’d say Newcastle have little chance of getting their number one striker target in the summer – 20 year-old Aleksandar Mitrovic from Anderlecht.
Robert Beric – 23 year-old Slovenian striker
So we should be linked with a number of other strikers this summer, and one of them seems to be 23 year-old Slovenian International Robert Beric, who plays for Rapid Vienna in Austria.
The 6’2′ striker only moved to Vienna last year, but the news is that Newcastle could be interested in signing the striker in the summer.
He’s had a very good season so far in Austria, and in 28 total appearances he has scored 17 goals and has 4 assists, and Robert has played for the Slovenia U18, U19 and U21 Youth sides.
He’s also played four times for the full National side.
There are reports that Newcastle are watching the big striker, and we’ll have to keep a number of strikers under watch, in case we cannot get our top picks into the club over the summer.
Robert signed a four year deal with Rapid Vienna only last summer, so Newcastle would need to pay a decent transfer fee for the player.
We expect Newcastle to be watching at least five strikers, because we may need to bring in two of them this summer, and of course we’ve been short of at least one striker all summer.
We are hoping Newcastle will correct that situation before September rolls around

sound horrific
on bigi and his mystery illness, if it had been anything linked to his childhood and where he was from surely it would have shown up when we bought him from Coventry

Comment #3Any player worth his salt, having an ounce of ambition would look at the form table

And stay well away …… unless Ashley wakes up and appoints a decent Head Coach.
The table doesn’t lie!
Jail for Ashley

Comment #4Jeffrey in his willingness to blindly defend Mike Ashleys mind numbing policies says we don’t need a manager who shouts for players, yes it’s much better to have a manager who gladly accepts that profits are more important than on field success.
