This International Striker Not Coming To Newcastle

We always thought that Marseilles striker Andre-Pierre Gignac was too old at 29 to be a serious  target for Newcastle United, and today there is news he is to move to Russia and Dynamo Moscow.

Andre-Pierre Gignac– 29 year-old not coming to Newcastle

Newcastle’s transfer policy could change in the summer and we may bring in more experienced players, but there has been no hint of that with the players we are said to be scouting.

The news is coming from La Provence in France, and maybe the only reason Newcastle would have been interested in the French International striker is that he becomes a free agent in the summer after five years with the south of France club.

And Mike Ashley likes cheap deals – sorry we meant to say Mike likes good deals.

While at Marseilles,  Gignac has a very good record of 180 appearances with 72 goals and 14 assists, and this season he’s scored 18 goals in 31 appearances.

The other reason Ashley doesn’t like to sign older players is that they are usually past their best, and their wages tend to be high.

The Newcastle owner likes to bring in younger players who are cheaper – sorry – who come at a lower transfer fee  – and they can then improve on Tyneside.

And then they are  sold on at a (big) profit in a few years.

Well, at least that seems to be Mike’s MO at Newcastle.

Even though we have been linked with the 29 year-old for a few years now,  it was always unlikely that he would come to Newcastle with Mike Ashley still the owner.

Andre-Pierre Gignac played 19 times for France with 5 goals, and he’ll certainly find a big difference in climate at Moscow compared to Marseilles.

What do you think?

Ed…we are short of £ 25M so we won’t be buying any players in the summer, but instead we will be following the wise words of truthful John and dig into the free player marked!

I can name many other international players who won’t be coming to us as well. I think it’s the list of players who will be coming to us that we’re interested in.

Sorry mates but there is a truth shortage in the club right now. Mike and Lee are investigating what happened to the truth. They will get back to us about it soon I’m sure.

If we exploit the increasing gap between PL and Europe well enough then there is a chance the we can close the gap towards the top.

We have a lot more room to grow than some of the other teams.

Catching up with Spurs is going to be a lot easier than getting past them.

Catching up with Spurs is going to be easy with our owner Sazzer? Ahahahahahahahaha! That’s hilarious. Yes, I’m sure Spurs are looking fearfully over their shoulders as we speak.

I know everyone is very impatient to learn the truth about the accounts. But the truth is very difficult to find at our club. Mike is searching everywhere he can think of. It’s very exhausting. He may have to take a long holiday to recover. Don’t call him, he’ll call us when he’s ready I’m sure.

How on earth did Everton manage to be above us in profits? didn’t they buy Lukaku for over 20 million? surely there’s some mistake here.

IMO NUFC should be second with Man U top, it’s a bit fishy Everton being above us even though we have a bigger capacity etc,etc

Missing page in the accountants books I reckon!

No doubt they’ll have the Keystone Cops on the Truth case or even Dixon of Dock Green if it gets serious!

Croftus- All that business with our players brought in this summer would be reflected in next year’s accounting. Making it even harder to figure out where that 25 Mil went, since we didn’t sign a permanent player.
