Fans Have Heard It All Before From The Players

We expected some of the Newcastle players to come out and again make an attempt to assure Newcastle fans that they are in fact doing their very best on the field – even though we’ve been close to hopeless in each of our last five games – all of which Newcastle have lost.

Remy Cabella – we’re not on holiday – yet

Remy Cabella has been interviewed and defended the players against the charge that they aren’t really trying, and are already on their summer holidays.

John Carver would have no chance of getting the Newcastle job permanently at any other club given his terrible record – 2 wins and 9 defeats in 14 games.

But this is Newcastle and Mike Ashley wants people working for him who do what he wants them to do, and supports the way he runs the club.

John certainly does that.

This is what Remy Cabella said:

“On holiday already? No, no, we are professional,” “We don’t think about our holidays. It’s impossible. We have six matches left. We need to concentrate on Tottenham.”

“We need to win that game by working hard in training. In our minds, we are not on holiday. That’s not professional. We need to concentrate on playing.”

“We are disappointed. The fans, every time, are angry. That’s normal. They want to see their team win. I understand the fans because they want to see their team win. We feel that hurt as well.”

“Everybody is disappointed. Five matches without a win, five matches we have lost – that’s difficult for us.

“We need to keep our heads up, keep working in training.”

Fans have heard it all before and actions speak louder than words,  and we don’t want to hear the reasons why we don’t get the results.

We want the results,  and we still need a win to ensure we are safe in the Premier League.

What do you think?

Toons Fans – the Chronicle has published a multi -poll article -where fans can vote on numerous Toon related questions, including the boycott.
At least visit the site and take part in the poll – let your voice be heard, no registration or anything like that – takes seconds.

    Link to poll :-

maybe those fans who do want to go in on sunday can at least take in some flip flops and hurl them onto the hallowed turf if it looks like the players are simply going through the motions

Did the poll Mr. Tuff mate. Surely all of this is waking Ashley up a bit? He’s left it ridiculously late in his stay with us to turn over a new leaf. I don’t think he can so he has to go.

Judging by the number of comments from them, it looks as though Ashley’s even roped them into apologising for his own mismanagement. He’s using them as mouthpieces, flak-takers on behalf of him and his lackey, Charnley.

Cabella, the apologist in this instance, will be off soon, pi$$ed off now and off off in the summer – or why not January even.

Mouthpieces? Mashley could give a s**t what we think.

But seriously, ask a player ‘Are you effectively on your holidays already?’ and what is he supposed to say? Move on.
