Incompetence At Top Means Disaster Scenario Playing Itself Out

With Newcastle’s threadbare squad – thanks to Charnley and Ashley – and an inexperienced coach put in charge of the side when the Sack-Pardew crowd had their way and Alan Pardew couldn’t stand the abuse  any longer and left quickly for Crystal Palace – it looks like the disaster scenario may be playing itself out at Newcastle and we could end up in the Championship next season.

Ayoze Perez – after scoring first goal today

After being 9th in the league after 19 games – half the season we have now played 34 games and in the last 15 games we have two wins and three draws for a paltry 9 points – and over a full 38 game season that amounts to 23 points and certain relegation.

And of course we’ve lost seven games in a row.

John Carver is really struggling  to get to grips with the massive job he has been given this year and the record shows he’s just not up to it.

FA Cup100101-1
Overall2034131836-1813

This is a case of Mike Ashley thinking we were safe in January and making £12M on deals he made in the transfer window and it included making £4M on Alan Pardew.

And Newcastle are being caught out because of it.

That £12M Ashley made in January may cost Newcastle at the very least £70M (and probably a lot more than that) if we are relegated this season, and there is no sure way we can come back first time like we did last time,  if indeed we are relegated.

It’s nothing but complete incompetence by the upper management at Newcastle United who have caused this grave situation.

Wonder if we’ll hear from those responsible for this debacle – Lee Charnley or Mike Ashley – sometime this week?

Nah – no chance.

Another shocking result yet no longer a surprise, something has to change.

I will not insult any fan, those who go an endure this rubbish do so because they love and support the team, those who say away do so because they hope by enough boycotting some change can happen.

We all want the same thing, everyone has their own tolerance levels and their own level of what rubbish they can put up with….we shouldn’t judge any of them, on either side.

We all know the f …ing facts & the statistics thank!!!!
The players need to take matters to task & battle like hell . 4 points from the next 4 games will do us. If we can’t get those against Leicester,Wes Brom, QPR & West Ham then we don’t deserve to be in this league & retribution can then be sought against those in command

It’s hardly the sack Pardew groups fault that the club didn’t fulfill their duty in appointing a reasonable manager.

Sackpardew, ashleyout it’s all their fault oh dear that’s good funny I thought it was the owner of a big shady corporate that scooped nufc out like an avocado that was to blame. But it’s the fans who care enough to do something when their only power is not to give him what he wants the lovely moolah that are to blame. Ho ho ho. Ho. Ho.

    Fair point but..

I’m pretty sure you’ve also been standing on the same spot fighting the fight that “I’m” losing have you not?

This past week there’s been no engagement on my part to any of them. Can you say the same?

The real disaster is that we cannot let this cancer remain in our club indefinitely. Keep up the fight. I don’t care about relegation, I care about the bigger picture and the long term future of this once great club. HWTF!

Pardew would have left regardless of the abuse. He’s had the last laugh, everyone knows we wouldn’t have lost 7 in a row with the silver fox at the helm.

Ed– for all the flack you usually get on here, it’s hounded out by a hundred others.

Time to do something other than blame the fans ffs!

You criticize have this unequivocal ability to praise all of Ashley and Carver and Charnley and in the next paragraph condemn them. I realize after reading since you started this blog you’re quite fickle, but don’t you dare ever blame it on the fans. I have dropped thousands and thousands of dollars to travel from other countries to watch this heap of garbage year on year. don’t you dare try to tell me this is a culmination of my lack of support for ashley

Ashley was talked into a panic buying spree 3 seasons ago – big mistake.
He was right to wait until Summer this time

Ed, I couldn’t stand the abuse of the drab and dismal football which Pinocchio inflicted. Have you forgotten that your mighty silver tongue already had the 6 losses in a row record? We only bucked that trend by beating a relegated side who were one of the worst sides I’ve seen play that day. After that we still lost another one anyway. Maybe you’re forgetting he almost relegated us?

Pardew and his crap needed to go, just like Ashley does too.

But those “panic buys” were part of what kept us up, remember sissoko in his first few games.

We should have bought or loaned a CB, even if we had to pay over the odds for our target as we only had 2 fit ones for the season who are both over 30 with recent injuries.

No doubt it’s Ashley to blame, for buying poor and having a thread bare squad, or for appointing poor managers.

For me Pardew wasn’t great at all, could have done better than he did, not top 6 every year, but certainly better, especially the last couple seasons.

But then again he isn’t a top manager, he has his one style he plays and we refused to buy the players to suit him, so it was never going to work.

i agree with that, however that one style, wasn’t really any style. We have been so inconsistent with our style over the last few years, that is why i think players like HBA, marveaux, cabella, perez have been so inconsistent, e.g. one week perez is playing as a left winger or poacher, the next he’s a lone target man.

I agree, but look at palace. Target man with two pacey wingers. That’s what Pardew likes, it’s what he asked for here and never got it.

I have little sympathy as once he came 5th and had all the support of media, fans, etc he should have been firmer with ashley and demanded signings, as even if he got the sack he’d have walked into a good job.

    Jeff

Yeh, Sherwood is a decent manager. I liked him at spurs, did well there and continued that at villa.

He’s not a refined, polished manager, but he certainly does enough to make things happen and play positively.

Incompetence at top! I’ve been making the point for ages. The club wants a head coach model and all the focus is on which coach to appoint. Nobody ever mentions they haven’t even got a director of football. Surely you appoint a DOF before you appoint a head coach? You couldn’t make it up.

£4M compensation for Pardew leaving, not paying £2M for McClaren and dropping five league places. It does not make economic sense.

Ed, you need to read up a bit more about why King Percy left – you have stated:-
“Sack-Pardew crowd had their way and Alan Pardew couldn’t stand the abuse any longer and left quickly for Crystal Palace”

This is not true, have you not read any of Percys’ interviews as to his reasonings as to why he left..
I suspect it is more to do with you being against “lower echelons” wanting to get their club back – rather than the hierarchy sorting it out. Always the attitude of “management men” who cannot abide the plebians taking the lead.

Look I am for the Ashley out campaign however I reckon 1 more win is all we need make sure hulls run in is a nightmare sunderlands as well.

We have west brom at home coming up shouldn’t we get behind the team make sure we get the 3 points to see us safe. Get Saint James Park rocking like it was in the past. then at the West Ham game plan a major protest against Ashley surely this makes sense while we are trouble it makes no sense to continue with protests.
