Leicester City lost 3-1 at home to Chelsea tonight, after being 1-0 up at half-time, and that broke their four game winning streak and they remain 4 points behind Newcastle with the same number of games played, 34.
John Terry scores Chelsea’s second tonight in 3-1 win
That also means that even if Newcastle lose to Leicester on Saturday in the early kickoff game, we would still be one point ahead of the Foxes with three games to play.
However the game at Leicester now offers our lads a great chance, because if we can win that game we will be 7 points ahead of Leicester with just 3 games to play, and we would stand a very good chance of being safe this season.
Marc Albrighton gave the Foxes the lead on the stroke of half time – but then Chelsea scored three unanswered goals in the second half though Didier Drogba, John Terry and Ramires to win the game 3-1 in front of the watching John Carver and Steve Stone.
Chelsea are now almost there and need just one win in the last four games to give Chelsea and Jose Mourinho the title once again.
It didn’t take Jose very long to get on his winning ways again, having already won the Capital One Cup earlier this year.
And to think they didn’t win anything last season – a very bad season for the Blues no doubt.
It’s a great opportunity for Newcastle to break our losing streak on Saturday and even reach safety.
At the very least we need a draw.
