Carver Talks To Charnley But Nothing Serious – It Was Nice

John Carver has admitted that after the debacle on Saturday at Leicester where Leicester had their biggest win of the season – that he has had a talk to Managing Director Lee Charnley – but it was nothing serious and it was quite a short conversation.

lee charnley close-up

Newcastle’s mastermind – Lee Charnley

This is what John said about that conversation:

“I had a quick chat with Lee Charnley, but it was nothing serious.” “He was basically just asking how I was and how I was feeling. It was a nice, calm conversation.”

And when asked about Steve McClaren’s situation at Derby – there are rumors he could be brought in to take over from the tragic and rather hopeless Carver.

John has refused to comment on McClaren’s situation, other than to say he was sorry Derby County didn’t make the Championship play-offs, after they lost 3-1 at home to Reading.

It would simply be astonishing if after all that’s happened with John Carver, he is still in charge of the side this week – and that would amount to gross incompetence by those running the club.

But it’s even to starting to look like that may happen.

But Carver keeps on blowing his own trumpet and now says he’s no shirker, even though he obviously thinks his players are.

It’s all their fault after all and nothing to do with the coach.

That’s true isn’t it?

He’s not a shirker, just not capable, but how many would be, you could probably count the number of realistic and capable candidates on both hands, and Ashley probably knows none of them.

Carver has to be removed immediately. He has mugged himself once too often, that’s not showing passion and loyalty, it’s making us a laughing stock yet again.

    Mr Tuff ,

well researched ..#18..it looks like the advertising is worth more in other countries according to who I heard saying it ..our games are all over the states and Asia and it was a low estimate according to the speculator on Al Jazeera channel..the cost of getting your name just throughout the states into billions of homes there and asia is astronomical in advertising stakes ..so any uk estimations of £10 to £12 million a year here are way below what it does and is worth for the Ashley coffers and Sports Direct and ultimately Ashleys bank Balance, multi national ..now. Worth many many millions world wide

We are being short changed. Even the advertising via Fox sports throughout the USA ..can you imagine what any US Baseball team would have to shell out for that ..? into every home Stateside. ? Asia ?

Forget £12 million a year to furnish the interest its more like £30 million in value world wide

He’s ripping us off and every ones missed the point, missed the value ..I aint !

He is ripping Newcastle United off . ..He’s just been outed on this one..Blame me .

Carver was not involved in the bust?up between Coloccini and Krul on the bus and decided to keep his thoughts to himself until he addresses the players again on Monday.

Probably too busy stuffing pies down his fcuking throat.

The advertising world wide into every area of the Usa has to be worth £10 million alone …

I’m not just talking about advertising space at the ground here I’m on about the benefits to Sports direct ..beamed into all “soccer” lovers homes in the states via say fox sports..can you imagine the cost of that coast to coast in USA for any Us franchise ? baseball etc, ..not to mention Asia !!

the value of the Advertising to Sports direct is worth over £30 million per Annum ..and more

He is conning us with that one and it’s right in front of our eye’s . so close we could not see it .

All premier league clubs get roughly similar tv exposure. So they have massive commercial revenue kicking off with the ground advertising of roughly what £30m at least I reckon. Then all the other stuff, shirt sponsorship, merchandise, franchising etc. Shirt sponsorship is on the shirts and beamed on tv so that’s worth more. So that’s say £40m. They must be getting over £100m a season all in. No wonder we’re going down. Incredible. And then I’ve even seen Jimmy Carr mentioned. Tax dodger. So Ashley must be gaining on the tax. I’m no accountant or tax adviser or advertising guru and I can’t find their quotes but someone down the pub was talking to this guy and so its true. It might have been what SD stood to gain not what they would pay but we should have everything they stand to gain, robbing bastards, not what they would pay another club for the same rights. Go figure.

It really is comforting to know that all’s well on the good ship Ashley.

After getting stuffed for the ninth time in a row, Charnley has a nice cosy chat with our hapless, delusional Interim HC.

Anywhere else, and security would’ve arrived to get Carver to take the personal contents oc his desk and be escorted off site.

And then, Charnley having done that dirty deed should’ve had a call to get to his own office where he’d be met by security to get him to……

Ah, but that’s how proper companies deal with incompetents.

And given Charnley’s 30 NUFC – related directorships, well he’ll not be pushed by Ashley!

    What a shambles

The difference between the benefit of the interest free loan set against the free advertising will be like the difference between how I’ll feel when we get relegated and the schadenfreude I’ll enjoy in seeing Ashley’s and Charnley’s miserable mugs as they count their losses.

don’t think Ashley is deluded. Seems very switched on at serving his own interests which are the only things being served in this whole depressing mess.
