John Carver has admitted that after the debacle on Saturday at Leicester where Leicester had their biggest win of the season – that he has had a talk to Managing Director Lee Charnley – but it was nothing serious and it was quite a short conversation.
Newcastle’s mastermind – Lee Charnley
This is what John said about that conversation:
“I had a quick chat with Lee Charnley, but it was nothing serious.” “He was basically just asking how I was and how I was feeling. It was a nice, calm conversation.”
And when asked about Steve McClaren’s situation at Derby – there are rumors he could be brought in to take over from the tragic and rather hopeless Carver.
John has refused to comment on McClaren’s situation, other than to say he was sorry Derby County didn’t make the Championship play-offs, after they lost 3-1 at home to Reading.
It would simply be astonishing if after all that’s happened with John Carver, he is still in charge of the side this week – and that would amount to gross incompetence by those running the club.
But it’s even to starting to look like that may happen.
But Carver keeps on blowing his own trumpet and now says he’s no shirker, even though he obviously thinks his players are.
It’s all their fault after all and nothing to do with the coach.
That’s true isn’t it?
