Two Robbies – Carver Threw Players Under The Bus – Video

Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle are two excellent analysts on the NBC Sports Network,  who broadcast the Premier League games live here in the US.

Host Rebecca Lowe with the two Robbies – Mustoe and Earle

Rebecca Lowe is the host of the Premier League broadcasts, but the two Robbies also have their own show, where they discuss the Premier League and what’s happened.

They are very straight and good analysts, and it’s interesting to see their reaction on their show last night relating to what John Carver said after the game about Mike Williamson.

Here is a video of them talking after the game.

    Details…
Whoever is running this show, bring in a NEW COACH (Interim or otherwise) tomorrow, 8 am.
We are about to do the impossible: get relegated with 35 points since February!

    REPOST

If Carver is in charge on Monday then the outlook looks grim.

We now know that the recent row between Jonas and Carver may not have been the only one between him and the players.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Williamson and Janmaat are not the only players who are cheesed off with Carver. Both players will have friends who will support them.

I feel sorry for Colback to be singled out by Carver as the only player who works and fights for the shirt. One Geordie praising another Geordie. This will hardly endear him with other players like Perez who never stops working.

Part of me wonders if the ‘attack’ on Willo was a thin attempt to earn favour with the fans? JC will know we all think Willo is terrible, wonder if he was trying to get us onside by showing that he thinks like a fan? Its stupid enough to be out of the Carver playbook!

Ultimately it’s possibly an act that will see fans get 2 wishes at once as i can’t see how Willo or Carver can come back from the incident

Jay…From previous…As they say in this video, there is a way to motivate, discipline- basically manage your team. Carver isn’t getting it.

Emotion is great, the club desperately needs some, but it need intelligence and a cool head too. Carver doesn’t have that.

We wont even talk about tactics.

Ashley, Charnley, do you not have sand in your eyes yet? Time to pull those heads up, come on now, act like the men you’re supposed to be…oh wait, perhaps they are.

Glad Janmatt didn’t stare back at him yesterday, he probably would have rugby tackled him.

Don’t think it’s possible for him to continue after yesterday.

Strange owner though, so you never know.

It seems to me it’s the younger ones like Perez , Cabella, Rievier , and Collback who are at least trying to make an impact on games. The players who’ve been here a while like Collo , Williamson , Rtaylor ect seem to have thrown the towel in , the whole situation is a complete mess , and it’s all down to one man .

I can only guess at Ashley’s level of involvement.

What do we know for certain? Only that he’s got bigger fish to fry. He’s hated by the fans. He’s put the club up for sale more than once. He doesn’t want to lose money.

It looks as if he just wants to keep the club ticking along until he can find a buyer. I imagine Charnley keeps in touch with him on the phone with the big decisions like appointing a manager and player transfers. Ashley will give some input and sign off on those decisions.

His level of involvement is not particularly relevant. The problem is that he has no clue about football. Consequently, he has appointed no one at the club with any clue. He’s put Basil Fawlty in charge of the club. Is it therefore any surprise that we end up with Manuel in charge of the team?

I think the sit in idea is a beauty personally. Maybe stay there after the west ham game, if you stay long enough you’ll be in situ for the kick off against wolves.
Perhaps that Sunderland aeroplane could drop in some supplies.

i honestly think no manager is better than carver at the moment.

mclaren has often cracked under pressure and giving him a 3 year contract will just end in tears.

Maybe Jonas as player / manager for the last 3 games would be a good compromise for now

I don’t know how people can slate Williamsons ability. He was bought in the Championship for a million pounds, he was one of our best players that season, he is a Championship player but a dependable and reliable fourth choice CB who gets on with the job. It is not his fault he plays for a regime that will only allow three CBs maximum and that one of those three is constantly injured and the other is as unreliable as he is reliable. He goes about his business without a fuss and should be applauded not thrown to the dogs.

    Come on Charnley!!!!

Intervene now to stop Ashley blowing a gravy train worth hundreds of millions of pounds.
A fool can see that either poor Mike is too innocent or beguiled to you to know what’s happening.
Or he’s fretting helplessly at home just praying you will bring all those incredible executive powers he’s given you into action.

Honestly Charnley! You couldn’t make it up!

I think if we get relegated, these will be the players we will be left with:

    Darlow
    Alnwick
    Steven Taylor
    Haidara
    Abeid
    Colback
    Perez maybe
    Armstrong
    Riviere maybe

All the rest will be sold cause they’re crap or will move because they deserve a better club i.e. perez, janmaat

The episode Charver spouted off yesterday was typical of a previous Sunday league pub manager .He has lost the dressing room and any snippet of respect from the players.Time to be the body double of Les from Benidorm.

Check this vid out with a ranting mag fan..I thinks he sums up the feelings we had watched yesterday to a tee.

I think i know why we are so bad at defending set pieces… its the same reason why we are so bad at scoring from set pieces! In training colo & willo must be looking fantastic at defending the rubbish we put into the box.. which is 99% of the time aimed at willo anyway!!

You can spend all day every day on here repeating your newest talking point…that Charnley is calling all the shots….and no-one will buy it.

    Charnley is a cipher,

I can’t understand how it is likely that you can spot Charnley is a risible tea-boy, and that a genius like Ashley can’t. It’s a sell too far.

Blackley…I would say there are things that indicate he is more involved than your guess would suggest.

We always hear about these “reviews” and “lessons learned” etc, but nothing ever really changes. Just another uninspiring choice, someone who wont rock the boat. How do we ever progress with Ashley, if the person tasked with it isn’t really allowed to challenge Ashley? There is lots of information to back that up, please don’t ask me to trawl for it.

He calls the shots. At worst, he sets the low bar, at best he allows the low results.

He hasn’t really changed anything these past few years. There’s not knowing football and then there’s something else. Something, somewhere, is up.

If Ashley wanted to turn things around, I do believe he could. It would need absolute transparency. He doesn’t want to try and mend things, I don’t see any way forward other than without him.

If as you say, he’s just looking for a buyer, then why all the secrecy? As always, the whole thing is so unnecessary. If his intentions are reasonable, he’d be more open about it. If not, he really is the biggest fool on the planet.

Can you do me a favour? If you do respond, can you avoid the “Ibiza says” introductions and any other new catchphrases. I don’t see any reason to try and wind each other up. It just gets in the way of what’s important to us all. NUFC. HWTF

I’m highly critical of Ashley. I think you have gotten me wrong because I question the validity of statements like this that you made on a recent thread.

“All that commercial revenue we have lost has gone somewhere, the ‘loan’ has saved him millions in tax, while as I say the worth of having his shitty brand beamed around the world is immeasurable, he could probably still sell us for 10M in three years time and have had all his money back and more.”

Where did that come from? Brewin Dolphin? PWC? You couldn’t make it up. Although I suspect you have.

I was talking to someone who reckons Ashley doesn’t involve himself in the running of the club but prefers to delegate to Charnley and Carr.

They told him apparently that Carver would steer us through until the summer with no fear of relegation when they would then re assess .

I must confess I didn’t think we would suddenly become the team we all crave, but couldn’t see this coming. What a sad sorry state of affairs.
