Breaking News – Siem De Jong Injured Again

There was more bad news given by John Carver in his news conference today that Siem de Jong has picked up another injury, after suffering a thigh injury in training so he may not play again this season.

Siem de Jong – injured again

The Dutchman has had a scan on his thigh to see how bad it is, and it’s yet another injury picked up by a Newcastle player in training.

This is what John Carver – who says he thinks he’s the best coach in the PL – and that’s started to do the rounds in the national newspapers – has said about other players who are coming back from injury:

“We are waiting to find out on Paul Dummett, who will do some work this afternoon. We are waiting for the results of a scan.

“Papiss trained with us for the first time today and it’s great to have him back with us. It gives everyone a lift.”

So there’s good news about Papiss Cisse and there may be good news about Rolando Aarons who could be on the bench.

Why do Newcastle players pick up so many injuries in training – which is another big reason why we could be relegated this season.

It doesn’t look good about Paul Dummett’s chances,  so who plays at center-back on Saturday is anybody’s guess.

Having Siem out is not good and Paul shouldn’t be risked.

Comments welcome.

Hello again readers of Ed’s blog,

Are the boycotts and protests a good thing or a bad thing?

There’s a view that the protests should now stop and we should get behind the team as it battles relegation.
That’s the appeal of an open letter attributed to Captain Colo.

And there is a view that the protests have been so successful that the club is desperate to stop them, hoping they can claim to have proved once and for all that fan protests don’t work. Therefore the protests against Mike Ashley’s ownership and stewardship of the club should continue.

It’s a hot topic. Hot enough that HWTF thinks it deserves a blog poll on the issue.
The call has generated a lot of responses so far, some enthusiastic, and others with reservations.

We’re asking you to post the following in a single box:

    “Give us a poll Ed”

We want a poll. Do you think the protests should stop? Yes or No.

Let’s hear what the fans think.
We want to conclude this with a Poll Petition to Ed this evening. Please support us.

    Howay the fans.

Still think your support matters when the idiot comes out with crap like I’m the best coach in the league….which he then follows up with “if given the right tools”

I’d stick Cisse on with one leg ATM

At least he knows where the goals is, shame the midfield piss around with the ball when he’s making runs.

Ibiza what would your poll consist of, a simple yes no vote might not appeal to everyone.

Surely to get a representative take on bloggers views it would need to have several options.

Zero…Does it need to be anymore complicated than “Do you think the protests should stop? Yes or No.”

That is what is being asked of us, to be considered proper fans, stop protesting, just back the team.

People will choose to protest (or not) as they see fit. It may be to boycott, it may be outside SD, it could be anything.

    But should protests stop?

    Give us a poll Ed!

Belfast…As that was just a bit of the original post I’m offering you 6p.

my lad, let me explain why there will be no poll, in terms even the thickos (looks at blackley), can understand:

if we were to do this poll you adamantly ask for, undoubtedly, it would skew into the favoring of protests/boycotts. Now, ed needs his hits, and this is his business, so he cannot show an anti Ashley side. it is been said that our form is due to us, the supporters, and not to management, even through how many straight windows with not a soul coming in…

therefore, poll bad, hits good, stop rocking the boat, esp since you’ve never been to SJP, ya big dummy 🙂

    hope that helps

I do believe the request is self explanaotry, don’t wish to appear rude, but perhaps we can now talk about something else?

Anyone fancy predicting whether we can win this weekend? Wait, do we have a poll for that already? 🙂

dok… lol brilliant… you forgot one thing.

Ed makes more money aka hits by pushing press that will annoy 80-90% of his readers… it might seem strange but some of the most commented on and hit pages are those such as the dredded lets blame the fans… why, because we feel we need to argue our point… in this case to a brick wall (Ed) that needs to not to convey any further after any such suggestion… only to put up a thread a few hours later.

lets be honest none of us are going anywhere, seldom bloggers leave of there own free will… usually its blog conflict.

Ibiza why of course it needs to be more complicated, for example I believe the boycotts should stop now, we made our point… however im pro anti investment displays, im not in favour of targeting Ashley personally or directly, protesting at his stores well personally I have nothing against SD so I don’t see the point much.

Right I am starting a poll

    Should the protests stop?

    Yes or no

Readers just say yes or no? …..simple
as long as people keep blogging then we can count them up at the end.

    I am saying No.

Is it safe to go back in the water ?
Swimming with Jaws is safer for your health than listing to the ramblings coming out of Carver, Ashley, Penfold and Colo.

Could be that they are making medical history and seeing the first examples of infectious lunacy…..

Perhaps we should all wear hospital mouth masks at the match just in case…

Is Carver doing these statements for a bet at one of Ashleys favourite casinos or do that have something on him ?
It’s actually sad to see apart from being a compete embarrassment and shambolic reflection on the disaster that is happening in front of the worlds eyes.

Only hope is Roy Rogers and Trigger or the Lone Ranger and Tonto riding to the Rescue or Bill and Ben or Thunderbirds but just our luck we got landed with the Muppets !
