John Carver has said today that being replaced or resigning from the club was never mentioned in the two day discussions the club had following the disastrous 3-0 defeat against relegation threatened Leicester City last Saturday.
And Leicester could have beaten Newcastle 10-0 – so superior were they – but it ended up 3- – with Newcastle finishing that game with 10 men.
John Carver – never offered to resign
Here is some of John Carver’s press conference and more bravado talk (unwanted we may add) from the Geordie coach, who is absolutely and completely out of his depth.
John however seems to be a (very) firm part of the Newcastle clique as he supports Lee Charnley and Mike Ashley in absolutely everything they do.
And that is what will take Newcastle down.
In a proper football club John Carver would have been fired by now – purely based on his record of having eight defeats in a row and putting the club in peril of being relegated, when we were in a good position before he took over in early January.
It’s just a crying shame for a club like Newcastle United that this nonsense is happening.
As we’ve said before there will be books written about the total incompetence that will get Newcastle relegated this year.
Comment welcome.

Comment #3Hello again readers of Ed’s blog,
Are the boycotts and protests a good thing or a bad thing?
There’s a view that the protests should now stop and we should get behind the team as it battles relegation.
That’s the appeal of an open letter attributed to Captain Colo.
And there is a view that the protests have been so successful that the club is desperate to stop them, hoping they can claim to have proved once and for all that fan protests don’t work. Therefore the protests against Mike Ashley’s ownership and stewardship of the club should continue.
It’s a hot topic. Hot enough that HWTF thinks it deserves a blog poll on the issue.
The call has generated a lot of responses so far, some enthusiastic, and others with reservations.
We’re asking you to post the following in a single box:
“Give us a poll Ed”
We want a poll. Do you think the protests should stop? Yes or No.
Let’s hear what the fans think.
We want to conclude this with a Poll Petition to Ed this evening. Please support us.
Howay the fans.

dok… lol brilliant… you forgot one thing.
Ed makes more money aka hits by pushing press that will annoy 80-90% of his readers… it might seem strange but some of the most commented on and hit pages are those such as the dredded lets blame the fans… why, because we feel we need to argue our point… in this case to a brick wall (Ed) that needs to not to convey any further after any such suggestion… only to put up a thread a few hours later.
lets be honest none of us are going anywhere, seldom bloggers leave of there own free will… usually its blog conflict.
Ibiza why of course it needs to be more complicated, for example I believe the boycotts should stop now, we made our point… however im pro anti investment displays, im not in favour of targeting Ashley personally or directly, protesting at his stores well personally I have nothing against SD so I don’t see the point much.

Comment #11I see Blackley is squealing like a piglet -talks a load of crap, accuses others of what he does himself – but doesn’t accept that he does. He’s already been thrown off one blog now he’s trying to wreck this one.
If you offer any thoughts on here that he doesn’t accept – be prepared for a never ending ruck and then a veiled threat to be assaulted.
Blackley now clear off you are not welcome.
Seeing a grown man whinging on like a spoilt tart is disturbing.

Comment #21Zero…But wouldn’t those upset the players? 🙂
Weren’t those nasty pieces of paper taken away from fans?
I’m all for trying something in the stadium, but the club don’t allow it. So what do we do?
As I said, this isn’t question of which form of protest you support, but should the protests stop as the club have requested?

I know those small pieces of paper shattered and warped the fragile minds of our players, we can but only blame the handful of supporters whom did such a thing for our current plight. Such is the strength of those demonstrations by only a few thousand according to some that the voices and passion of not only 40K loyal supporters were destroyed but also the hearts and minds of the players…
Or something along those lines… I figure we might as well back the team now, its for 2 more home games… most the lads on the pitch wont even be here next year, even less of them if we get relegated.

By voting no it looks like you’re anti protest and pro Ashley when you aren’t.

Comment #28Zero…It is only my opinion, but I don’t think the crowd have had much of a postive impact most of the season. It might be for these last couple of games – let’s hope so.
I also don’t think it’s a question of supporting them for these games. They’ve had support all along and still do.
What I object to is the emotional blackmail to try and stop all of the hard work that’s been done, with NOTHING from the club.
It stinks.
Not sure what I say matters anyway….I’m just an armchair fan.
nutmeg…I believe it stayed as just that, an idea.
I like it though.

Comment #31Belfast…There in lies the problem. What is more important to each individual?
What are people trying to save? PL status? Can we as fans do that? I’d say that falls solely at the feet of the club, a cheap immitation of “our” club.
Go on, make your vote count.

Should we have another poll? What’s more important PL status and the vindication of MA’s running of the club or relegation to stop feeding him the money and fee advertising he so badly wants and needs for SD?
I honestly don’t mind whether we stay up or go down the most important thing is to get MA out of the club.

Comment #34Ibiza I agree, I think I posted something similar a few days ago only to be told I was wrong… or that id only know if I went to the games (regardless if they know I go or not) lol
It carnt hurt to try just cheering the place down in an attempt to get the players going… SJP has been like a morgue since December so lets give them a surprise… give them some self belief… if it doesn’t work then we lose nothing, we will be relegated and then its a case of cheering on a new team.

Comment #36In an atmosphere of mediocrity and achieving the bare minimum the regime has got exactly what they deserve from the players. The likes of Sissoko must be thinking well if you the owner doesn’t give a toss then why should we.
Chickens coming home to roost, relegation is probably the best way for these players to force a move away from SJP

Comment #38Zero….And then next season, when we start to nosedive again, and people start talking about boycotts / protests, and those calls are met with “well, they worked well last time, didn’t they?”, where will we be?
Back to square one.
I’m not trying to preach. Fans who want to go, should. They should let themselves be heard, cheer the lads on with all their might.
It’d be nice if they are anti-Ashley, that they find a way to let that be known to.
However, I fully support those who choose to keep fighting this fight. To keep making a sacrifice that hurts them deeply. To take a stand and not be bullied or guilted in to retreating.
