An Injury Update On Newcastle – Not Good

Mike Williamson and Daryl Janmaat are suspended for tomorrow’s game at home to West Brom, which is likely to be Newcastle’s 9th defeat on the trot in what is turning out to be a nightmare end to this current season.

And that’s after we were comfortable and in 9th position half way through the season with 26 points, when Alan Pardew surprisingly left the club.

Newcastle manager John Carver

John Carver – gave injury update yesterday

We didn’t get too much information form John Carver about the injury situation yesterday in what turned out to be another bizarre press conference, and Paul Dummett is still a doubt for the game.

This is some of what John said yesterday:

“Dummett is doing some work, but he’s not trained all week,” said Carver. “He had a scan on Wednesday and we are waiting for the results on that. We will have to see how he is.”

“Siem has unfortunately got an issue with his thigh and he has not done a great deal of training this week.”  “He is another one who has gone for a scan. He has got a problem there – he won’t be available this weekend.”

“It’s great to have Papiss back on the training ground. He trained with us for the first time yesterday and that big smile of his was great. But let’s not get carried away here, he has only trained once with us in seven weeks.”

“Rolando is in a good position, but whether he will be involved this weekend, I’ll have to see again. Even Adam Armstrong has come in yesterday with a tight calf so we have got one or two things where we will have to wait until the last minute.”

That’s bad news on Siem de Jong who will not make the squad tomorrow, and not particularly good news on Paul Dummett either, so our back four tomorrow will be weak – and we expect West Brom to take advantage of that, especially from their set plays.

It’s difficult to see how we can win the game tomorrow, but we are hoping for the best – but it’s not looking too good in all honesty.

Papiss is back on the training. This is actually bad news, as he will no doubt be injured in training.

Forget sacking John Carver, the physio Derek Wright should be replaced next season.

    Replace the grass at Benton
Replace blade style boots with heavy leather and metal studs
    Replace pies with pasta
    Replace the owner
    Replace the MD
    Replace the Coaches
    Replace some of the players
Replace , well replace just about everything

Vote for the Replacement Party now – you know it makes sense !

we will win this game ! we must win this game !

we cant score for toffee so if cisse is playing we always have a chance !

our defence is always dreadfull so if wilo isnt on i see it as a good thing

we missed siem pretty much always so no change there.

and rolando who is also a goalscorer who can create may play some part so things are looking up imo.

janmaat who is our most creative player isnt playing which is the only negetive i see from what it has been recently.

    2-1 the toon.

Why is Cisse just back in training? he wasn’t injured he was banned. He should be the fittest at the club.

Cisse had ‘treatment’ apparently while he was suspended. No idea if that actually means a minor op.
