Carver BBC Interview – Our Players Ready To Fight – VIDEO

The lads played an awful lot better this week and although there were less than 48,000 the fans who were there were absolutely  fantastic and they helped our boys to get what could be a very vital point for Newcastle, and we expect the lads to have a lot more confidence of the last two games of the season – we think one win in the last two games will do it.

ayoze perez - YES WEst Brom

Ayoze Perez scores another vital goal for us

Here’s John Carver’s BBC interview after the game.

And maybe it’s the relief of the pressure on John Carver – but John’s press conference and words this time are good.

The bottom line is that our fans can take us over the line – and we can still stay up – after we have done almost everything wrong this year.

If we can get to safety we’re pretty sure Mike Ashley will be so relieved he will be ready to spend big money in the summer – he will have had such a shock that his Sports Direct business could be in the second division next season.

There’s still hope for Newcastle in what has been a calamitous season for us in lots of ways – that’s the bottom line.

Imagine we had kept HBA to play alongside Perez and De Jong?
    Kept Cabaye. Bought Remy outright.
Brought in just a single experienced defender, even if it was just someone like Robert Huth?
And a manager like Koeman to build a team around what we had. A team to play football.
How many more millions would that have cost? With all these millions of TV money rolling in?
Who would be divided or unhappy?

There you go talking sense again BandB mate. Ashley will have none of that. He prefers his method. The famous Ashley Method, modeled after Arsenal. We can all see the many similarities. Not.

It would cost Ashley’s pride way to much.
His cheap ass policy is his pride and joy.

When you are as brilliant as Ashley as a football owner you don’t take advice, you give orders. To John: keep us up you tw@t! To Lee: find us some good, young, cheap players and sell Krul, Sissoko, Tiote and whoever else you can flog for massive profit. Do I have to do everything around here?

Just watching real sociedad against Barca. He’s got them playing nice football. Certainly not getting run over.

Can’t imagine he would want to come here.

I noticed Mike Ashley couldn’t be arsed to support his team, urge them on to save his bacon.

Why is he exempt when the fans are expected to make the sacrifice for him??

    Just got in from match
If we had shown as much commitment all season we would not be in the mess we are in.
Lot better atmosphere today – fans got behind team.
    My MOM’s –
Colback – control game at back of midfield
Anita – had his best game in a b TOON shirt.
Cabella – did well, continous threat down left hand side
    and
Jonas for his second half performance in attack

    Charlie,
They must have been promised their tenth placed bonus regardless of where we end up. It’s not going to be a happy summer camp when he says “I never said that”

    Charlie,
It would honestly not surprise me if our slump was to do with bonus payments. The players arguing about how they were expected to achieve it after what happened, Ashley telling Churners to tell them to lump it until it was almost too late.

Ashley couldn’t attend the match today as he was too tired.

Apparently he kept waking up during the night to see if he’d lost any sleep.

Lets not get it twisted Carvs, yeah we played slightly better and showed a bit of fight but Burnley did us a massive favour today as well.

I wonder if Cashley told the players they would get a Brucey bonus for trying harder. My guess is he did.

I wonder how many times have the same people have said “Anita has his best game in toon tee”.

Anita has always been good. He’s very under appreciated by many. He is just playing in a very poor system with most playing out of position. Anita will fit extremely well with spurs or Southampton or Swansea teams. He’s too good for us.

I have to agree. He was highly rated in Holland. Pardew didn’t like him as he’s not a big clunker.

I agree, he’s very neat and tidy and rarely loses the ball. He’s used to playing position football not 1980s kick and run.

He gets to much stick IMO and there’s others who play regular who aren’t a patch on him.

    Catchy,
mike Williamson is technically the poorest player I’ve seen in the last few years, dreadful, it’s like those people who lorded James Perch!! Another horror story!!

Anita, control, short pass game is excellent!! Anything over 3 feet ( his chest height) forget it!!
