Can Newcastle Get First Win In 11 Weeks At QPR?

Newcastle have what could be our most important game of the season, when we travel to QPR on Saturday, and the London side were relegated last Sunday when they were crushed 6-0 at Manchester City and a number of their players seemed to give up.

We only lost 5-0 at Manchester City.

john carver sunderland

John Carver – let’s hope he’s not doing this on Saturday

This is a match between the two worst performing teams in the Premier League this season and of course Newcastle are coming off a good 1-1 draw, which broke an eight game losing streak, the worst in our PL history – so in the last nine games we have taken just one point.

And we are still paying our players?

QPR have one win (4-1 win at West Brom) and two draws in the last nine games, so even QPR have gained 4 points on Newcastle in those games.

And we’ll not even mention that the bottom club for months – Leicester City – have gained 14 points on us in those nine games.

Leicester are now one point above us in the league with a much better goal difference -13 vs -24.

🙁

How Will Newcastle Fare At QPR?

Jay…how does your condition effect your daily life?

I still remember Olsen setting Cruyff up on a penalty when playing for Ajax. Hence why everyone runs into the penalty box when the ball has been touched 😉

We’d not be missed if we go down Ed?
We’d be missed alright by all those teams who suspect they might find life hard in the premiership next season, and who would see us as the softest of soft touches for 3 points, especially if, as is looking quite likely, JC remains as coach.

So much is riding on this match I think they’ll freeze and turn in another performance like at Leicester. On the other hand, QPR will be playing with freedom as they have nothing to lose.

Ron QPR are absolutely awful mate. Half their squad our out of contract and they have a back four that includes Clint Hill and Richard Dunne. If we can’t beat them we deserve to be relegated.

We’re awful too! With a little effort by the Board at Christmas all this could have been avoided.

@jesper – 3 day hangovers, headaches most of the time, every day almost. huge lack of empathy, sociopathic tendencies. I can’t do MMA anymore because of the risks of a head trauma and my head near on explodes if i exert a 100% physical intensity but i can work at about 75% intensity in the gyn so its not too bad 🙂 have to watch blood pressure and not eat too much salt too!
I feel for olsen, must be awful at his age i was 22 so was lucky 🙂
Also its what killed bruce lee, so technically im harder than bruce lee 😉

I watched the QPR game last week and they looked like they didn’t care one bit, well that was last week and that’s the past. Honestly though if we don’t field our best team and JC is scared to play Rolando and Papps from the beginning then we are getting beat due to JC’s lack of ( Let get this f****g party started scenario ). He has to go out will all guns blazing, don’t leave these types of players sitting on the bench for 75 minutes, if they are fit play them. Lets get this Party Started JC, I’m sure the bars in the Toon would appreciate it.

I’m guessing QPR might make a few changes, what’s the point in playing players that will be leaving now they are down. don’t know if that is good or bad though.

    Graeme // May 13, 2015 at 5:00 PM

At one point in my life, the thought of NUFC being relegated would fill me with dread & despair. Today, after 8 years of Ashley, I quite honestly no longer care.

If it happens, it happens. We will suffer the consequences and the only saving grace is that it will cost the instigator of this tragedy a huge sum of money.

Couldn’t have said it better myself Graeme.

If we survive relegation this season, we have it all to look forward to again next season.

    Nothing will change

Just watching Football Today. They seem to think Hull will go down. It’s fairly obvious given their final 2 matches are against Spurs and ManU and the fact they are 2 points behind us. So we may finish 16th or 17th. Then what with Ashley still in charge? We not only haven’t built the squad to improve, we haven’t maintained the squad to even attempt to be mid table. It’s laughable really. The owner would have to spend 80-100 M to get us to mid table next season. Is he likely to do that given his history? Ashley out.

    Jail @ 13, cheers mate.

It just pisses me off now. My first game at SJP was back in 1964 – what a poxy place it was then, compared to today’s cathederal!!! But the place was jumping – literally. The atmosphere was electric and the noise was just incredible. For a young kid it was like something out of the comic books – we didnt have tv then lol

    how are you

look at what bruce spent this season, I don’t think he bought badly and look where they are
but it does goto show if we don’t get the hc/manager right, we could spend 100mill keep carver and chances are we will still go down

I really hope within 2 weeks of the end of season we announce a new manager and take it from there

I’m excellent beermonkey. Yes money spent doesn’t guarantee anything. The right personnel are key. You would have thought Ashley would have sussed that by now but he’s actually getting worse at it. I agree we need a good manager straight after the season finishes but I’ll be surprised if we get one with the utter bollocks going on with Ashley.
