There’s a good and fairly simple way of working out how good an organization is being run, how good it is to work for any organization, and that’s to see how many people want to join and get into the organization.
So if you are getting a lot of requests from outside to join, then generally you must be doing something good, and have created a good place for people to work.
John Carver – hasn’t got the best out of his players
It’s not a mystery why
The opposite is also true, and if people are wanting to get out and leave an organization – like in rushing for the door – that’s an indicator the organization is not being well run, and it’s not good to work there.
So it was interesting that Director of Finance John Irving is leaving Newcastle to take up a similar position at Newcastle Airport, and also Irving’s assistant, David Gilroy, is leaving the club for Manchester City.
And if we are right, then a lot of players will want out in the summer – whether or not we are relegated.
And that’s a good indicator that Newcastle are now a well run organization – and a lot of fans have seen that only too clearly in the last six months.
If we are still in the Premier League next week Mike Ashley will need to make lot of changes in his personnel at Newcastle – especially those is real leadership positions – but we don’t think he will do that – so it will be the same old thing.
And one truism in management is that managers generally get what they expect out of their employees.
So if you expect somebody to be very good and you tell them that – they usually oblige.
Just think how you would feel if your boss called you in and told you they expected a lot out of you, and that you were very talented and capable of working at the highest level.
Would you feel uplifted?
The opposite however is also true, and if you don’t really expect too much out of your employees – that’s what you will get.
So when John Carver has said in his press conferences that some players at Newcastle are just not good enough to play for the club, and they will be leaving in the summer – what do you think John got.
Did the players play at their very best, or did they put in performances that were just no good enough for Newcastle?
As we said, you get what you expect from people, and that’s simple management basics.

Hahahahahahahahahah. You couldn’t make it up. A blog replete with boycotters, protesters, and fans who want relegation. And old Blackley is negative for having a laugh at Average’s expense.

Poor old Blackley is negative period, you only remember you name (Blog Name) because you shout it at yourself all day.
No meaningful conversations or debates with Blackley, no sir, he’s to busy trying to rifle some 10p pieces out of the back of his redifusion television.

I honestly believe that when Pardew left the players were probably happy and thought Carver was going as well to be replaced with someone decent
Their arses must have dropped when they found out he was going to be in charge FULL TIME

it doesn’t matter what team Is picked, we have a poor squad with shocking defenders and NO top quality strikers.
Most players lack pace and quality.
Thats why we’re in a relegation battle.
A top manager MIGHT of got a little extra out of our lazy squad, who knows.

Comment #93If relegation was decided by desire, commitment and the amount of fight in the players, we would have been relegated a long, long time ago.
Sick and tired or seeing players wearing our shirt and simply going through the motions

Really interesting read, and actually what a club should be all about (its not Newcastle related). As much as it would kill me to leave the black and white family, it shows what can be done with a bit of passion and a united fan base

Comment #97Hasn’t Wilshire been out injured for 3 or 4 months?
He’s hardly going to hit the ground running with a barnstorming performance. As for Ozil he’s better suited to the slow paced Italian league, can see why Real got rid of him.

Comment #101If I was a player of a team I had no association with but were struggling like we are would I really give 100%…no I wouldn’t and this is why:
1) the owner himself doesn’t care
2) no ambition from club, so why should I show any.
3) manager who constantly blames his players
4) the best way to force a move would be relegation
The last bit is key, what’s the best way to leave this sinking club as a player…..answer is relegation, these players were told NUFC wanted to compete for trophies and CL….yet season after season 10th is the bare minimum we look at and no cup runs!!
Think about it why should the players give a toss?

I agree he’s overrated but which English player isn’t? Heard alot about Harry Kane and he’s scored 1 goal in his last 7 games and that was against us!! Wilshire plays the game more like continent players than a typical Englishman

Comment #120Ameobi, R Taylor and Jonas’ contracts expire at the end of the season.
Ferreyra’s loan will expire.
We can realistically expect Colo, Sissoko, Krul & Cisse to be looking at moving on.
Williamson, Gouffran & Obertan would be expecting to be moved on.
And we wonder why so many players haven’t looked bothered since the new year.
Again the running of the club, having so many squad players probably not expecting their futures to be at ?#?nufc? next year, has destroyed the team spirit and left players looking to the summer half way through a season.
Not attempting to hire manager also sends a message from the top at how little importance the 2nd half of this season has been regarded with.
Now we have 1 game left to avoid relegation thanks to 1 man. Ashley.
This isn’t our fault but we still want the best for our club.
So go Sunday. Support the team. Do our part. Then stay, show Ashley what we think of the part he’s played in the destruction of this great club. ?#?OccupySJP? and send a message that we have had enough. This season has been a disgrace!
is that it jail
