This Could Be A Big Mistake By Newcastle Owner

There’s news tonight that Newcastle owner Mike Ashley plans to attend the game at St. James’ Park tomorrow, in what is likely to be a crowd furious with the Newcastle owner, who have staged protests against Ashley over the last few games – and plan a sit-in protest at the end of tomorrow’s game.

Mike Ashley at Stoke

Mike Ashley – will attend game tomorrow

While the protests have taken p[lace Mike Ashley has wisely stayed away but it looks like he’ll be in the Director’s box tomorrow with his Managing Director Lee Charnley – who has done absolutely nothing to try to stop the startling fall down the table of the team.

A Newcastle insider has told various papers:

“It’s a huge game – one of the biggest in years – and Mike feels it’s important he comes up to give his support to the management and the players.”

We just hope that his move can turn out to be a positive one for Carver and the players – but it’s like pouring gasoline onto a fire – and Newcastle fans tomorrow must get right  behind the players.

However, if things go against us and say we go behind – the crowd could turn on the owner, which we really hope will not happen.

The number one goal for Newcastle tomorrow is to stay in the Premier League and if we can do that we at least have the summer to try to rebuild the squad and spend some big money.

Both the Express and the People are reporting that Ashley is furious that Newcastle are in this position (that would be a surprise at all), and he is ready to tell Carver at the end of the game – thanks, but a new coach will be brought in.

And the Express and People are both reporting it will be a foreign coach and not Steve McClaren, who has already turned Newcastle down twice.

Mike being at the game is very risky – but we do hope the fans will support the lads on the field and not be distracted negatively by the presence of the owner.

To give a little praise to the owner, which is very rare for us – it’s a gutsy move by Mike Ashley – and if it inspires the players – it may even pay off.

Bottom line tomorrow – we need to get a win tomorrow and save ourselves.

Howay The Lads!!

Come on the Toon! We can do this!

Ed, you sure seem to dislike Carver like, don’t really get it myself. Surely he has did the right thing to deflect the spotlight to himself rather than the players. We know he is wrapping them in cotton wool for this weekend.

Not sure I get what looks like a hatred towards the man. It’s just an Ashley puppet here to take the blame and your falling for it.

But he is a Geordie first and foremost that has landed his dream job because of Ashley’s business model which is ruining the club slowly.

Please start looking at Ashley rather than the symptoms.

It’s about time we stopped nailing managers and looked higher up the chain to point blame. Managers will come and go and it’s pointless throwing abuse at them under this regime.

It’s not even the managers team of players.

    Furious with carver?
It’s like appointing Stevie wonder to drive the school bus and yelling at him when it doe sent go well .
First it should be penfold to go as it’s on his watch all this shit happened.
But same scenario really …. Another person given a role they are clearly not equipped for , why? Because they are cheap.
Ultimately Ashley has to look in the mirror and admit he has f@cked up royaly on every aspect of nufc .
    The list is endless .

Do just that and support with some proper noise and make it a cauldron for 90 odd minutes .
Then after the game let the football world know what we think of ash /sports direct a the sit in .

Untill we get an owner who at least pretends he wants to compete we wont exsist.

Stop bothering and do something fun insted of feeding the problem.
Its just not worth it anymore.

Relegation is a real possibility but to think it will get rid of ash is very naive. He will loan us more cash to get us up as he did last time and simply tighten his grip further.
He won’t sell us cheap if we drop ,not his nature he will want a exit strategy to leave and will want to be seen as having got a ” result” when he sells … It’s his cheap barrow boy mentality.

Ashley’s presence today could provide an opportunity for all fans to focus their attention on and support players.

Putting Ashley’s presence to one side until the game’s finished will send out a big message – that our fans support the team, love our club but are a little peed off with he owner.

Support the lads, hope for the win and maybe Ashley might just see what he’s got – fans who’ll back him but only if he backs them.

As a villa fan with no axw to grind against the toon followers who are top class in terms of sticking to the cause. I was ashamed of a few who glorified in your relegation a few years ago. However the poison dwarf carver is a liability i remember his comments before the villa game I think your last victory i say no more
Asked if there would be no love lost should Villa be relegated, Carver said: ‘Absolutely not.

‘It’s funny how things work out in life.’ Newcastle, 10 points clear of the drop zone, would all but guarantee their top-flight status with victory.

Carver’s challenge, however, is to finish in the top 10. Were he to do so then the Newcastle job would be his on a permanent basis.

And the 50-year-old says he is already planning for next season. ‘The conversations I’ve had (with hierarchy) have always been long term,’ he said.

So to the faithful good luck for today over 50,000 loyal fans dont deserve the championship and the premiership cannot afford to lose them

To Carver you could not polish the boots of hartlepool utd youth team so hope you pack your bags at 6pm tonight

Ashley sell up and give the fans some hope

I think it’s worth noting what the “Newcastle insider” is alleged to have said:

“Mike feels it’s important he comes up to give his support to the management and the players.”

He didn’t say anything about Ashley sitting in the Director’s box, and if he’s got any sense he won’t. The best way for MA to show his support would be to just meet Carver and the players in private before the game and wish them all the best etc. and then watch the game privately on tv – preferably somewhere well out of sight of the tv cameras. It’s going to be a big enough media circus already, without any public appearance by Ashley making things worse.

A win is the only ueseful result, you get it, right? If they get any other result than a win, they’re history so we don’t matter. If they win though, no other result but a win will save us.

So, if we lose 10-0 or 1-0 it makes no difference. Forget damage control, 1 point out of 30 has already done its damage. We’re the worst team in the PL this year, easily.

All guns blazing, anyone who wont run themselves to the grond doesn’t get to play. And, since we don’t do tactics. let them express themselves. A moment of brilliance should do it, hopefully.

The 52,000 Hamburg stadium was a volcano yesterday. They were the 12th player, helping to give that crap team an unlikely win. If anyone reading this shows up at the stadium, please give everything you have too to support the team. You are a lot more important than us bloggers, right now.

Any other plans or agendas can wait till the end of the game.
