Newcastle United 2 West Ham 0 – Full Video Highlights

May 24th 2015 - Newcastle, UK - NEWCASTLE V WEST HAM - Newcastle Gutiierrez scores against West Ham 2-0 PIcture by Ian Hodgson/Daily Mail

Jonas after scoring vital second goal after 85 minutes – what a guy!

Here are the video highlights of today’s game with Newcastle missing a number of chances but still securing a 2-0 win with goals from Moussa Sissoko and Jonas Gutierrez, and we survived the drop –  and saved the club around £80M in the process.

You can put the video on full screen too and the new strips look good.

You may have to wait of the advert – but it’s worth the wait!

After the Jonas Gutierrez goal it’s really so emotional – they need to make a film on what Jonas has done over the last two years – what a hero.

Well done to all the players especially to Vurnon Anita who was simply sensational in the game today, and to the gutsy, courageous and very brave Jonas Gutierrez.

If that was his last game it was the most emotional game he’s probably ever played.

It just tells you when you beat cancer you think you can do anything – and the 31 year-old Argentine did that today.

Jonas was great for us today.

If things don’t change for the better, then next season will be the worst season he’s ever experienced and that will be when relegation will be a certainty, media everywhere will have bad extremely bad publicity about him, managers and players everywhere will deem it the final final straw and consider him this arrogent, greedy, selfish and lieing b@stard who only cares about money, therefore the club will continue as hell and he’ll see the club certain to be relegated.

he has already got far too bad a publicity, so when coming out with statements like he did, he must mean them, if we go out the first round of any cup headlines will be speaking all about why this would happen when an owner is meant to have aimed to win, same if a player is sold and not replaced, media will be asking why he didn’t see that player replaced, they will be bugging him.

Carver and Charnley out’d be a good statement from Ashley and a knighthood for Jonas – what a hero.

It’s not whether Charnley can, it’s more like whether he’s got the balls to sack Carver

Absolutely over the fscking moon for Jonas. Didn’t stop running from the kick off, and finishes the match like that. Fully deserved Man of the Match, and definitely deserves the plaudits coming his way.

Now, sack Carver (not just give him the assistant job, just sack the git), bring in a decent manager, and force Ashley to put his money where his mouth is.

It’s Ashley’s move now, despite him saying it’s all down to his goon Charnley, he wields the ultimate power, he said it himself when saying the blame is at his door (a surprise in itself).

Oversee the appointment of a manager and coaching staff befitting the club, clear out the mercenaries, dead wood and failures and invest in the squad – then we can move on. Anything less and the protest will continue throughout next season, the boycotts will become more numerous and we’ll be in the same position again – don’t let it happen. It’s his choice.

All we can do now is sit and wait for a few months, if come the beginning of the new season, we’ve got Carver or another has been/never will be in charge, if the incompetent coaching staff remain and there isn’t an overhauled squad, then we continue as we have, more people will get on board and the media now have Ashley’s words in B&W to judge his actions against, they’ll be watching things ever closer, any incongruity between his words and his actions, they’ll be quicker to point it out this time.

Ashley plans to sell, the accountants leaving made it obvious.
You dont sell something while saying you are desperate to get rid of it,it drives down the price.
Him doing the interview wasnt for the fans or the club,it was for himself.
Its a better possition to sell from.

Jonas was hands down man of the match
He was everywhere he was defending he was dropping deep he wanted the ball his passing was brilliant he took players he terrorised there full backs he set up a goal and scored one

Anita, apart from his panic in front of goal, was also immense, showed everything today, took on the role of bossing midfield made Colback a passenger
Also Janmaat, this lad, pure quality and an absolute warrior

Now back to business, nout to celebrate as club, made up for Jonas but the club are a shambles
Carver ffs someone put this deluded idiot out of his misery!

Keegan on Bein sport reckons that Ashley will have a big name lined up! Think he was dreaming a bit when he said Klopp mind!

Anyone reckon Rodgers will be looking for a job? A

I was cheering as the goals went in, but then back down to earth. The festive scenes are rather cringeworthy. It should be anger at the end, not clapping like we’ve won the cup and ‘celebration’. Get over it, sort it out. The cheers masked over any point which could be made.

    So pleased for Jonas though.

Back from the game. Buzzing!. You couldn’t have written that script. Jonas to play a blinder and score the second to settle the nerves! Anita was a terrier! Why didn’t he shoot instead of trying to pass when we were 4 on one on the breakaway – shame!
Now for something controversial. I was gutted for Riviera when he missed that tap-in – I actually thought over the whole game he was streets ahead of Cisse in his contribution – he worked hard and did a decent job as a target man.
Less controversial – why on earth did Carver not bring Perez on for one of the strikers with (say) 20 minutes to go? Makes no sense when you’re trying to play out time to have 2 unused substitutes and for me a fresh Perez would have caused more problems and covered far better than Cisse. Please can we get a decent manager who knows what he is doing?

I’m yet to see him strike a clean ball with his feet, even during build-up play, before that counter to end all counters led by Anita, Riviere had a similar chance with Sissoko haring up one side of him and Cisse coming back from an offside on the other, he chose to pass to Cisse and messed it up anyway. He’d be brilliant if he didn’t have wet rags for feet and comical coordination of his limbs, makes Shola look sure-footed – good at holding it up, mobile, fairly quick and decent work ethic, but can’t kick for love nor money.

Bit of a worry that Carver is now saying he wants the summer to bring in his own players.
Tubbs needs to let him have today to celebrate and then get him sacked tomorrow.
Then announce a big name replacement – has to if he is talking about winning things.

McClaren for me would be an awful appointment
As for Rivvy, not sure how 2 slightly more promising games make up for a season of being completely anonymous
Just looks like a less confident Shola

Be amazed if he’s much more than a bench warmer

Rodgers would be for me haha boring build up play football with next to no intent, 1 nils and draws be like a slightly better Pardew

I think people are too quick to write off players, its his first season with us and he has been playing in a team that has been terrible all season with no build up. I think he holds the ball fairly well and would benefit immensely from movement around him…I assume the planned partnership was him and Cisse which imo would work well

armchair, embarrassment over celebration is more fitting.

Forget about the win, we reached a satisfactory level and that is all. This is big picture stuff, which is why Ashley has been able to get away with it so long. Passive fans, cheering at the odd win here or there. Not good enough.
