Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In Sensational Win?

There’s nothing quite like a motivated Newcastle United side when they are playing at home in front of over 52,000 screaming mad Geordies,  and the lads got the job done this afternoon with a good 2-0 win against the Hammers,  and played extremely well under such a tough situation, and we got our first win in 11 games.

But it was when it really mattered and the lads should get the plaudits for playing so well, and we almost scored from the kick-off from Riviere – so we though the lads looked ready.

Good goals from Moussa Sissoko and the brave and courageous  Jonas Gutierrez got the job done, and we finished in 15th place with Hull taking the drop.

Did I say we finished above Sunderland and Aston Villa,  who were both beaten today and  the amazing Leicester City won 5-1 at home to relegated QPR.

Moussa turns after scoring great first goal with header

The goal celebrations from Moussa and Jonas were unbelievable and it was a very good day (that’s a change) in front of a watching Mike Ashley, who was interviewed before the game by Sky Sports and said he wants to win something for Newcastle United.

jonas gutierrez

Jonas Gutierrez after scoring – what a guy!!

However there was the promised sit-in against Mike Ashley after the game.

Ashley did say in his Sky Sports interview that he will not sell the club for any price and money is available this summer to strengthen the squad.

So NUST (Newcastle United Supporters Trust) trying to buy a portion of Newcastle from Mike – it simply will not happen – because he will not sell any of Newcastle United.

Let us know who you think Newcastle’s best player was today’s  vital game for the club in which the players finally delivered – BIG TIME.

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

Definitely guti for motm purely for the assist and goal and I think he just about shaded it for workrate.

Followed extremely closely by Anita. What a game he had. Phil Thompson said it right.

Cant name a player who was bad today in all honesty. Actually think the Cisse Riviere partnership has potential though its likely we will never see it again

    Sleeping giant.

Wondered that myself. He’s invested fcukall since we went down. The money that has been spent on players is from the club and not him personally.

    Bullshit baffles brains.

    Load of guff

In all honesty, I think it was less that we were good than West Ham were poor. The effort was there, which is important, but the skill was not, and against better opposition we would have struggled to win.

The important thing now is to find a good manager, improve the defense, and add some depth up front. And to figure out how to keep our best players healthy….

    Are people believing the guff?

From some of the comments after he’d been interviewed I’d say yes. He’s a proven liar, in court. By a judge.

    Why now? Why this day?

The pressure applied has clearly had an effect so why stop now?

    Never.
