Newcastle In For Senegal International Striker

There’s news today that Dame N’Doye the Senegal International striker could be offered to Newcastle United,  as his club Hull City look to cut their wage bill as they drop down to the English Championship and much reduced revenues.

Dame N’Doye – Hull’s Senegal International striker in action Sunday

N’Doye only joined Hull in January from Lokomotiv Moscow on a two-and-a-half-year contract for a fee of £2M,  and the Chronicle is reporting today that N’Doye is keen on a move to St James’s Park.

The news is that he has been talking to Papiss Cisse about what it would be like at Newcastle, and he had a decent record in his first four months of the Premier League, scoring five goals in 15 appearances for Hull.

One barrier to a move could be his age – he turned 30 in February – but Newcastle are now willing to sign older players, and could sign him on a two or three year contract, and he’s done well this year for Hull.

The 26 times capped 6 ft tall Senegal International (6 goals) took a substantial pay cut to join Hull City,  so it would seem his wages would not be a problem for Newcastle,  and we certainly need some strikers brought in this summer.

While at Moscow for three seasons he scored 27 goals in 68 appearances for Lokomotiv, and before that at Copenhagen for three seasons he hit 82 goals and had 34 assist in 150 total appearances.

It would seem this lad could be good value for Newcastle on a short-term contract of up to three years.

In his overall career playing for six clubs, he’s made 303 appearances with 130 goals and 43 assists.
