Who Was Newcastle’s Best Player In Great Draw At Old Trafford

There were a number of positives that came out of this game for Newcastle and for all the lack of realize we had last week at Swansea we showed it in spades today and although Manchester United has most of the possession and most of the play, it was Aleksandar Mitrovic who hit the cross-bar with an absolutely brilliant header in the first half – and he was so unlucky it didn’t go in.

Newcastle defending a Memphis free-kick today – the defense played well!

Coloccini and all the back four had very good games and Tim Krul was at his best in goal.

The Dutchman had to be as he made a number of top drawer saves – especially after 80 minutes from Chicharito, when the Mexican striker was straight through on goal.

aleksandar mitrovic

Aleksandar Mitrovic after game – YES!!!!!

It was an unexpected point today, but a very solid and good display from Newcastle.

Our players showed real guts and courage today – we are so proud of them.

West Ham booing their own players after twenty minutes and that’s before they went 0-2 down

God I hate that club with an absolute passion

So, to all the rest who seem to have a sensible opinion…

Fo we start with the same team next week, with the same set up at the back? Maybe change Squidward who has surely had his last chance?

The bet between JFA and Toonbrother has that many loopholes, I cant see any charity being paid any time soon. Even if we win a game, if colo goes off before the end, then Toonbrother will say it doesn’t count.

Rooney continues to have stinker after stinker, if LvG stays at old Trafford long term I can see Rooney being on his way and he simply doesn’t fit into the way they play.

    Saw your post on previous.

Yeah of course it’s sensible, as it doesn’t contain any unwarrented player bashing 😀

If Sissoko isn’t fit… Aarons, thauvin? Or even SDJ?

Sorry to see you’re struggling. Stay positive, mate. It helps. Speaking from slightly different but comparible experience. And stick with the footy, healthy blood flow from anxiety can’t hurt, can it? 😀

    Team for Northampton I hope:
    Darlow
    Janmaat, Mbemba, Lascelles, Haidara
    Tiote, Colback
    Aarons, de Jong, Perez
    Cisse/Toney

Shellshocked. My team is truly very poor. Obertan is terrible and lazy to boot.

We made them look like Barcelona. We can’t press can’t pass.

Looking for positives… Krul, Colo, Perez. Many run their socks off but no football was played. Like a league 1 team heroically getting something.

Thanks ref. That was a goal 😉

Obertan was his usual fraudulent self.

He has this art of looking busy defensively when he really isn’t. It’s half hearted and he always lets runners get away.

Hopefully that’s the last time he starts.

Well, we deservedly rode our luck after a dreadful start. We remembered to defend in banks of four and held on to the ball better. Gini looked a class act in the first half and Perez justified his selection. Mitrovic put in a great shift and Mbemba recovered after a torrid start. Thauvin is not Epl match fit but will be soon. On the negative side Obertan was a passenger today.
Good to see more guts and heart from the team.
