The following policies should be taken into consideration before commenting:
An update on my health situation - we have terminated the PluVicto treatment halfway through, because of the severity of the side effects - diarrhea, vomiting, and acid reflux.
And there was no evidence the treatment was having any positive effect in stopping the prostate cancer from spreading in the bones.
There are no treatments left for me to go on.I will go into home hospice care now and will have a hospice nurse visit me at home regularly to ensure I am as comfortable as possible and we will treat the side effects of the treatments I have had.
It's down the final stretch now, and I have run out of treatments, and nature will now take its course.
I hope Newcastle can get many wins this season from now on, and I am at peace with all of this.
Thanks for all your help through the years - it's very much appreciated
Ed Harrison

Comment #45Did you see the Charlie Adam red in the Stoke game ?
These ref’s are out of their minds, ruining the game.
https://streamable.com/h5hb – that is NOT a read either.
And the one Affelay got can be argued as well.
Really pissed today, they have to stop these soft red’s and let players play.

Comment #50As nobody seems to have done it my views on the players:
Krul: Excellent. Full of confidence.
Janmaat: Good.
Mbemba: Impressive again. Needs to work on his shoulder charges.
Colo: Impressive again. Captains performance.
Haidara: Good but does get caught out up field.
Colback: Tenacious. Worked very hard.
Anita: Worked hard but Arsenal passing game made it hard for him.
Gini: Very impressive again.
Sissoko: Worked really hard. Very committed (for once ?).
Thauvin: Impressive. Tougher than Cabella. No dying swans.
Mitrovic: Needs anger management sessions.
Overall the team worked really hard and looked very organised.
Would the result have been different if Mitrovic had stayed on, I’m not too sure. Arsenal looked very good before the red.

Comment #51Any idiot can re watch that game and see for themselves the ref sided with Arsenal for almost the whole game.
He might as well have worn there strip,he was either payed to side with them or was under instruction from the league.
As for Mitro sending off even the Arsenal players were suprised, even the guy he fouled.

Comment #54Jeff young man I believe you put your foot in all by yourself. Should have thought before you planted it down. it’s disturbing to be so out of your league, tell me honey – how do you live with that? How? it’s a real poser that one. 🙂

Comment #57Regardless of whether it was a red or not, why run the risk of it By going over the top of the ball and bringing your studs down his shin?? Its 70-30 a red card, more so with his reputation now.
Haidara MOM for me, whole defence has played well last 2 games.
Need to find the balance between all out defence and all out attack though, west ham can be beaten but need to do more than everyone defend and hope for counter attack..

Comment #61Manx Mbemba did the same check twice without contention for the ball. It ends up being a body push, not a legitimate barge.

I think I am in sync with u as well bud I agree with pretty much everything there
Mbemba produced the best moment of the match for me when he went striding up field into the final 3rd with the ball then scared himself with how far he had gotten

Comment #63Can’t believe people are sticking up for that refereeing performance absolutely shocking he ruined the game it’s a contact sport Ffs and he’s ruined it from the 3rd minute!

Comment #64My comments:
Krull: great shot stopper but will never be a top keeper with his terrible distribution. Good for us at present but if we want to progress we need better.
Jaanmat: solid enough but lost something going Forward. Failed to get cross in time and time again. Needs to capture form of last season quickly.
Mbemba and colo: both solid no complaints from me. Will be weak against strong forwards but looks like we will have to go with it.
Gini: best midfielder I would say as he managed to relieve pressure and drive past players a few times. Decent display.
Anita and coldback: both solid but offer no creativity and look lost at times when bringing the ball out. Need a cabaye type player fast.
Thauvin: lost of work and decent display. Will be a good buy and look forward to seeing more.
Sissokho: decent performance tracked back ok and made some powerful runs.
Mitro: clown. Should not be doing that at all or even risking it even if it could be harsh.

Comment #65If you think the ref won the game for Arsenal then you’re in for a disappointing season if our players don’t get their psychology right. They have the ability, not the discipline – of course a collective lack of top fitness aids poor tackling.

Part of the game is understanding the refs preferences, Marriner tends to be lenient with cards, today he wasnt and our lot couldnt understand how play without fouling

Comment #72He wasn’t that bad Manxpie. Denied Arsenal a stonewall pen and booked Coloccini for nothing.
The Big Serb lost us that game. He got away with a stamp at Swansea and didn’t get away with it today.
Big dopey Sam Dingle.
Hopefully sign another striker but I won’t be holding my breath.

Comment #73Tsunki nah he didn’t he went for the ball in the 1st one and ended up checking hin the second was a blatant check which was a yellow card no doubt but there player deliberately stopped thauv without going for the ball it’s a yellow card full stop but the referee did nothing

Comment #74I wonder how many refs we will get this season that have decided we are going to lose the game before a ball is kicked?
Wonder if the FA or anyone else is going to coment on this or are we going to have to listen to the usual twaddle how the ref got it right bla bla bla,as if they keep up this shocking start to the season, thats not just the toon games, they are in danger of turning the whole league into a farce.
Were 4 games in and the biggest taling points have been poor to shocking ref/linesmans decisions

Comment #80I can’t be arsed with this now like imo the ref was absolutely shocking for a competitive sport a spectator sport and an entertaining sport ruined it completely
as someone said earlier if that was Costa he would have got a ticking off! !
83 check the replay fella they weren’t the same at all the only one which was the same was the yellow card 1
