All Newcastle’s Transfer Deals This Summer

Newcastle have had a very good window and we have lost no senior players in the final days of the transfer window.

Olivier Kemen signed on for Lyon for around £500K yesterday and that has been announced by the club, and Sky Sports are reporting that Haris Vuckic has been given an extension to his contract, which was to run out next summer, and he’s been sent out on a season long loan to Wigan.

Update: Newcastle have since announced this deal and Haris has been given a one year extension, so he stays at the club until the summer of 2017.

Mike Ashley – kept his promise and invested in the squad

Haris will be playing for Gary Caldwell, the former Newcastle defender who is now the Wigan manager, although that loan deal has not yet been formally announced by the club.

We imagine Steve McClaren and the coaching staff are taking a big sigh of relief, now they know the squad through the end of the year – and it looks the strongest for at least three years.

Newcastle spent £50.3M gross and £45.8M net in the summer, the most ever for Newcastle in any transfer window.

    We should be happy….
But I just wish we had signed possibly a LB but more importantly a commanding CB

There again I am possibly being greedy, the standard of signings in my opinion have all been excellent.

    Keep Perez, Tiote can go….

Who the hell we going to spend another £50 million on in January lol

I hear Shola turned out for Huddersfield Town reserves today against Rochdale and played well.

SSN breaking news at Newcastle, not very breaking!!

and the rhetoric starts with J Redknap saying Ashley’s spent his money? Isn’t it the club’s money that’s been spent?

Lets see by January if this was a great window!

…we know what we needed so there really isn’t any excuse 🙂

    Well here is my transfer round up;
    – Wijnaldum – Great value for a fantastic player, think everyone will agree on that.
    – Mitrovic – Looks like he could be a perfect number 9. He is a bit hot heated but I think he has been desperate to perform straight away. I expect goals when he comes back (right in line with some easier fixtures)
    – Mbemba – Looks great. Will get better and better.
    – Thauvin – Started well, we needed an out and out winger, hope he is the man to do it.
    – Ivan Toney – We will see!

    – Shame about Kemen and Abeid, surely we could have loaned Kemen. Something must have happened behind the scenes there.
    – Jonas, one more year?

Overall pretty happy. Think we have brought in some great players and very happy with the coaching additions. Probably an underwhelming finish this season but I think we will be set up to progress in the future. We might have a cup run this year. Young players bought so should only get better! Shame we didn’t get another CB, but Colo has been fantastic in the first few games, hopefully he can keep it up and we will be fine until next year.

I’m wondering whether certain fan groups are pleased and see this as enough to halt any protests.

Personally i’m surprised and pleased players havn’t been let go. Obviously though it dosn’t change the absolute torture that has been experienced with the lack of spending and neglecting the footballing side of the club.

Well…I’d echo an earlier poster who expressed concern if we get a couple of long term-ish injuries, like a striker or centre half.
And I’m still not happy with the captaincy situation. But, I suppose like SM said…’3 windows..’

Phew – that was far too close for comfort.
Imagine if we had sent the paperwork through in time and ended up with Bale and Kane.
What a disaster that would have been.
Would never happen at a so called big club like Man Utd would it ?
How the mighty are fallen !
