Is This An Interview With Newcastle’s Next Head Coach

10:40 pm, Sunday, September 13th, 2015 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 4 Comments

Here is an interview with Ian Cathro carried out remotely by Spanish football journalist Guillem Balague for Sky Sports on Friday.

The piece in the middle is about his time in Valencia as the assistant manager and he has been replaced there this season by Phil Neville.

But the first bit and the last bit are relevant to Newcastle, although he does talk about going back on the Continent and he thinks his next job will be that of a head coach somewhere.

Depending on what happens at Newcastle in the next few years that position could be as the Newcastle head coach – because if he does well Newcastle will not want to lose him and our defense already looks much more resilient than last season.

But it’s really hard to look into the future – especially at Newcastle.

The local papers were still saying John Carver could get the job after we has lost seven in a row earlier this year.

The sound on the video isn’t great but you can make out what he’s saying.

Here’s the full video Interview.

Sorry about the earlier article – I messed up and had to delete it.

Martoon, i think thats the team we will play but i dont think its our best team

    Janmaat Saylor Mbemba Haidara
    Sissoko De Jong Wijnaldum
    Thauvin Perez Aarons

West Ham will play an attacking formation, meet fire with fire I say

Not really sure what sort of coach Cathro is, I thought he was an attacking coach but seems to be credited with working on the defence, guess he must be an all round coach, anybody know?

Watching analysis of Leicester game on Match of the day the way they pressed for the ball in the 2nd half is the way we need to be

Gini , Thauvin , Perez , Anita , Colback are all capable of high energy pressing for 90 minutes

Sissoko and Cisse are not though they seem to jog about quite a lot not sure about Mitrovic if he can do it either

In fact Obertan is lazy as well , not sure about Aarons if he could play in a full pressing team he might get injured again!
