Shearer Reacts On Twitter To Awful Newcastle

6:35 pm, Saturday, September 19th, 2015 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 23 Comments

We had mentioned in our match report that not signing Charlie Austin looks like a big mistake now, given that the team is finding it so difficult to score goals in the Premier League, after we were beaten 2-1 this afternoon at home to newly-promoted Watford.

Newcastle have only 2 points and three goals after six games played.

I actually went today, took the day off and decided the season ticket might get some use. I said to our kid on the way over that we need to see out the first 15 minutes, get some confidence and then build on it.

Now I’ve got no where near as good a tactical nouse as say LILO or JayPhoto but surely McClaren should have just said that.

Also can’t understand why we are tinkering with the midfield, Sissoko needs to play if anywhere out on the right, play Anita, Windi and De Jong through the spine, who know on the other side.

Sissoko through the middle doesn’t work and if your going to experiment then don’t do it in an EPL game.

    Is this hard? I’m I talking sh*te??

my english has never been great mate, I should invent a maths laungage, invented a word already 800=Boo

Graham Carr is the problem. Pardew and McClaren have had to deal with the dross he constantly brings in yet Carr seems untouchable???

We must have by far the slowest team in the prem, The best teams or at least ones that can compete with the best have pace and power though out we lack both. By the time January comes round and the way we do transfers it will probably already be to late.

Having not bought him this summer i’ve been hoping we’d get him in the winter transfer window and well having seen how little cisse is doing and also how poor the disapline is of mitrovic surely we’ll now get austin.

This is the end, Toon friends
This is the end, my Geordie friends, the end
Of our elaborate plans, the end
Of everything that stands, the end
No safety or surprise, the end
Doors music. Seems to fit right now. 👿

I said yesterday that if he did anything with the team it would be to move Sissoko inside and drop Anita. I thought he might bring in Obertan, just because he got to the byline and supplied a cross at Southampton.
I didn’t agree with it. It’s just that it is exactly the sort of thing football managers do.

Look at the sack of puss at the top if you want to blame someone colwell mate.

Ah, Alan Shearer, that great motivator of men and the man who proved that he was clueless when pretending to be a coach at NUFC putting his two pen ethos worth in again

  • 9 GeordieTwo // Sep 19, 2015 at 6:44 PM

Anyone seen Ashley at the matches lately? I didn’t think so.

  • 10 GeordieTwo // Sep 19, 2015 at 6:45 PM

People warned that Thauvin didn’t have enough pace, yet we chased him for ages.

  • 11 BandB // Sep 19, 2015 at 6:47 PM

That sounds like a Bob Monkhouse joke G2.

Do you think we have got too much going on down the wings? Either have your fullbacks defensive bias and have out and out wingers or have full backs who bomb on and have the likes of Sissoko who can cover.

    Me head mashed!!
I’m not going to Chelsea, anybody want me ticket!!

Ta BandB mate. It’s the little ones that usually sneak past people….Hee hee….

Not even Jose could get results out of our squad, when will people accept the problem is the result of years of poor scouting, any player who has been worth hanging on to has been cashed in. Three or four of the right signings would have made a difference. 50mil wasted.

Wing play is all well cestriasteve mate but you have to have the scrambly bits in the opposition box. You’ve got to mix it up in there. The crosses have to hit the proper targets!!! Step on some defenders boots!!! Give them a little of the hows your father!!!! Harrumph.

I call it the Pacific Rim formation.
It’s all isolated round the edges with a huge ocean of space where our midfield should be.
I can’t see how it is supposed to work. It always breaks down in exactly the same way.
We need to compete for the centre circle or it never will.

jack every word shrear said was true austin does look cheap now

  • 18 toonking // Sep 19, 2015 at 6:55 PM

certainly was a lot of chat this week about betting and to perhaps finish it off heres a good one for all 4-1 on sheffield to win on wednesday and well to add that extra £1 might as well add city against scums.

I didn’t expect everything to be smiles and roses this season but I was hoping for something more than what we have seen to this point in time.

The reality is that SM will end up exactly like Pardew being expected to produce miracles with a bag of misfits and rejects that are given to him.

We buy players with aboth eyes on selling them for profit instead of improving and progressing the club. Our chief scout has us a headlock while the chairman is still trying to figure out how to work the fax machine.

The only trophy we are likely to lift is the one handed out at the soap opera awards

Paying £15 million for a player with one year left on his contract is one of the reasons why Shearer is a pundit and not a manager. No club would pay that for the lad and he knows that so using it as a way to have a dig at the club is a childish effort

  • 21 BandB // Sep 19, 2015 at 6:58 PM

    Look on the bright side.
We’ll really struggle to play a weakened team against Sheffield Wednesday.

  • 22 check the toastie // Sep 19, 2015 at 7:11 PM

Shearer appears to be a bad judge.

He spouts some shit regards the club, would be nice if he actually thought about what he tweeted before he posted it.

If anyone who was at the game today can take any positives in any shape or form I’d love to hear them Watford deserved much more than a 2-1 win
    Biggest problems we have is
    1 graham carr
    2 mcclaren
Carr has too much say in shit transfers
    And mcclaren is shit
