Steve McClaren was fairly positive after today´s 2-1 defeat to Watford and he praised Newcastle’s second half spirit and performance, which was a big improvement over the first half.
We did create some chances in the final 45 minutes, but only right-back Daryl Janmaat was able to score – and the Dutch right back again had a good game for the Magpies.

Comment #2Funny how when we were being linked with James Tomkins for £10m and people saying that would be a rip off, bet any nufc fan would take him for £10m now

Comment #5like i said before the game what happens if watford beat us well they did in all departments the players are poor the system is so out of date most school teams know how to play against we can not defend and we have no threat going forward we got beat by a poor team because we gave them way to much room and respect…..the crowed are starting to loose patience with Mc and the players at the end

Comment #7Williamson offers more than Collocini, he would have attacked the ball that ended up with Deeney having freedom of the pitch and launched it away.
Small things cost points.
Cisse’s miss first half with left foot hopefully sees him out the door.
That’s from somebody who backed him over Demba Ba. How wrong I was.
We do have really good players, but utter shite dilutes them

Comment #8Well well nearly got the score right had Watford for a 2-0 win.
Just got in from the game another woeful performance and that’s from the manager never mind the team.
And how can he be fairly positive with that shit we dealt out
Why drop Anita for Colback and play one up front
Get rid of the wally with the brollie as he has not got a idea.
nailed on for relegation.
I cannot see where we are going to get our first Premiership win this season.
Mackems game now is a game for who takes bottom spot.
My MOM Janmaat least he looked like he cared Thauvin did OK but looks lightweight Mbemba Ok. Colback Hiadara – shit Colocini and Cissse not much better.
my predictions I made after the WHA game…

Comment #10Old Mr Carr uses £45m to add four youngsters untested in the Prem to his poor relegation haunted squad; fails to impress on Mr Charnley the need for Austin; gets rid of his big money flop of last year; and keeps a mass of deadwood.

Comment #11So that would give us 10 points from the first 19 games if my math is correct Charlie @8. That looks a bit optimistic to me mate. 😯

Comment #13Well I went against my better judgment and watched the match, I actually cannot believe I still have a big screen to watch. Why is Steve M going out with such a defensive team, why do all these other clubs with two forwards win matches, why does he play people in the wrong positions, why isn’t Janmatt playing upfront instead of CISSE who just isn’t interested. ( I know Janmatt idea is a contradiction). He seems like the only player that can score, why is Perez on the wing when he proved last season he could score goal as a striker, why is my head hurting. Why do I wake up at 4.30 am – 6.00 am to watch this shit. The only bright light from all this why and shit is the mackems are below us in the league.

Comment #16We let a manager who had won two games all year take over a team that had won two games all year, a manager that was desperate to manage in the PL with anybody but us. A manager that still remained in the Championship while plenty of PL clubs replaced theirs. We didn’t let him choose any players but let a league two scout and an after dinner speaker choose them for him, he was happy with this arrangement such was his desperation to manage in the PL with anybody but us !

Comment #18I’d love to say relegation would sefve Ashley right, but it is us that suffers as him and his odious sidekicks make decisions that affect our lives.

Comment #19Can you remember the days when fellow bloggers used to complain about HBA and Jonas Gutierrez? If they were still here we would be counting on them to pull us out of this mess. Look what we have to complain about now, infinitely more variety. These players need to get it into their heads that you need to work hard and not act like the under 18 team getting a lesson off the pros.
