Players Must End This Quickly

It hasn´t gone unnoticed by Newcastle fans that in the last four games things have looked very much like they did under John Carver, and the Newcastle defense has looked suspect and we find it hard to score a goal.

Hopefully this is just a bad spell and we can turn things around because we do have a better said than John Carver had, and in any case if it continues it is a case of cruelty to fans – since the Newcastle faithful have already had so much to endure so far this year.

Fabricio Coloccini – must show leadership

We were stunned that there were almost 34,000 turn up for the game on Wednesday against the Owls, but that just shows  the passion there is on Tyneside for the club.

Newcastle fans deserve better and the Newcastle players must end this losing streak and quickly too.

Paul Merson has pointed out that Newcastle cannot seem to buy a win these – and that´s exactly what happened under John Carver when in most games we found a way to lose.

Winning games is a habit good teams get into and losing games is a habit poor teams get into.

We don´t want to continue a run where we keep losing all the time.

After four successive defeats it´s going to be hard to get anything out of the next two games – but it´s now up to the players and it´s up to the coaching staff to turn this thing around.

That´s what they need to do – and that´s what they get paid big bucks for.

The Newcastle fans are doing their part under very difficult circumstances and tomorrow is an opportunity for the players to repay the fans.

Anything out of that game would give everybody a lift.

Newcastle fans are in desperate need of a lift.

Instead of MOTM can we select from the whole squad the player we would most like to leave?

It would be a real indicator of Supporters opinion.

I expect there will be a massive clear out in January. That will include Cisse, Sissoko and Tiote.

And I think the threat of relegation will have them recruit older players that are proven at a higher level. Spending 100m in the summer is nothing when you compare it to the money lost by relegation.

Colo must show leadership Ed… Its simply not in him. There are plenty of reasons why he should have been offloaded / scrapped at the end of last season. He did average when things were going averagely. When the chips are down, when you need a leader, he’s always come up short.
Rewarding him with a longer contract and the armband sent a clear – as – day signal to the squad…that its ok to FAIL, you will still be rewarded handsomely and we will stick by you if you follow the party line.

Before the season kicked off many were optimistic wed have a very good season, top eight by many, top six, even into the champs league some had us.
But I was one of a few on this blog who knew what was coming, you can’t have a squad of players who just escaped relegation, add 4 unproven kids and expect a sudden change, nothing is going to happen, and it hasn’t.

Frankly the next two games are almost ‘pressure off’ games, as nobody realistically expects us to get anything out of them, unlike the Watford game which we should have been expected to win.
Get out there and express yourselves lads. It’s only a game after all. HWTL.

I don’t think this is about how much money you spend, but about running a football club professionally with the right people in the decision making position!

…this club is flawed at so many levels…and you cannot buy you your way out of it!
