It hasn´t gone unnoticed by Newcastle fans that in the last four games things have looked very much like they did under John Carver, and the Newcastle defense has looked suspect and we find it hard to score a goal.

Hopefully this is just a bad spell and we can turn things around because we do have a better said than John Carver had, and in any case if it continues it is a case of cruelty to fans – since the Newcastle faithful have already had so much to endure so far this year.

Fabricio Coloccini – must show leadership

We were stunned that there were almost 34,000 turn up for the game on Wednesday against the Owls, but that just shows  the passion there is on Tyneside for the club.

Newcastle fans deserve better and the Newcastle players must end this losing streak and quickly too.

Paul Merson has pointed out that Newcastle cannot seem to buy a win these – and that´s exactly what happened under John Carver when in most games we found a way to lose.

Winning games is a habit good teams get into and losing games is a habit poor teams get into.

We don´t want to continue a run where we keep losing all the time.

After four successive defeats it´s going to be hard to get anything out of the next two games – but it´s now up to the players and it´s up to the coaching staff to turn this thing around.

That´s what they need to do – and that´s what they get paid big bucks for.

The Newcastle fans are doing their part under very difficult circumstances and tomorrow is an opportunity for the players to repay the fans.

Anything out of that game would give everybody a lift.

Newcastle fans are in desperate need of a lift.
