Poll – Who Was Newcastle´s Best Player Against Chelsea?

8:29 pm, Saturday, September 26th, 2015 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 8 Comments

Newcastle put on a very good performance today against Premier League Champions Chelsea and were 2-0 up with just 11 minutes to play with good goals from Perez (42) and Wijnaldum (60), but we conceded two late goals and came away with only one point – but we deserved all three.

However this performance was extremely good and we saw a new strike partnership of Mitrovic and Perez, and they  combined well and they both looked impressive today.

Ayoze Perez brilliantly scores Newcastle´s first goal

Aleksandar Mitrovic made all the difference today – and he is obviously going to be a very important player for us this season.

    everyone deserves applause

other than perhaps sissoko. still can’t see how he’s in the team over obertan aarons or thauvin (although thauvin has looked poor as well)

Mitrovic was outstanding for me, so much passion and offered us an aerial option

Nice to hear of a youngster coming into the side against proven opposition and doing well

i went for mitrovic as he got little reward for all his hard work but worked so hard at everything

We lack balance as a team.

Damn and blast it, those last few minutes but, still, I’m ecstatic. Well done, lads.

The whole team were excellent today. Credit where credit is due. Ayoze, in particular, stood out. His work rate until he tired was immense. And he clearly has the technical ability to go with the attitude. What a talent. Great to see a good Mitrovìc. The ups and downs of Newcastle UTD. All I ever ask is a performance to be proud of. And that’s exactly what we have seen today. Hopefully the team continue with this attitude.
