Gini Wijnaldum – and you think he doesn´t care?

This is how Alan Shearer reacted on his Twitter account – he was gutted like the rest of the Geordie fans at the end – but out lads gave everything

True, but I think throwing on 2 untested boys at the end was stupid by SM.

    Just got in
    Lot better performance
    Great atmosphere, great noise
Pity we eould not hold on

    MOM
Kevin Mbabu he was immense kids gonna a be a star.

Mit did well caused them trouble all game and defended well when needed – but needs to jump and head the ball sometimes – to many times he tried to chest it down.
Colocinni also had a very goodgame
Sissoko at the last ten minutes was shite -tried ro give them three points by given away to many free kicks

Mbabu had an alright game, but people are praising him like he was Alaba.

You can tell he just had a one off good game.
He dives in when he sees the ball and constantly ran into people going forward.

I can guarantee you now, people will be calling for his head in 2 weeks time.

Perez was the best player by a mile.
Mbabu, as I mentioned is a schoolboy player.
Dives in, has lack of positioning, can’t attack, he’ll be a liability.

Mbabu will no doubt be called mbaba in 3 weeks time but he’s seemed a good lad today and I’m led to believe his favoured position is centre back so looks a prospect.. Ayoze has to be first name on team sheet for me

A nice unbiased opinion of a young lad making his debut for a side up against proven quality FFS!!!

Would hate to hear what you have to say about a season pro that has a mare

@Tiki: It was the kids debut against the champions, you don’t think he’d be a little nervous?

Given the circumstance he found himself in, I say he performed more than admirably. Well done to the young lad.

Just back from the match and despite the finish, what a good performance all round. Mbabu, who was my motm on Wednesday takes the prize again today. Despite the right back having to play left back, he looked totally at home – as he did at CB for the U21’s. Mitrovic proving to be the missing link we needed, causing Chelsea no end of problems all game. How nice to come away, despite losing a two goal lead, and feeling happy. Overall performance was excellent. A word for the fans as well. Behind the team from start to finish and the players responded. When team and fans are united like that, any team coming to SJP will struggle to play their best. Fortress St James’ at its best. 😉

You continue to talk sense and you’ll need to be aware that you could be in line for a word from the hard-line neggars.
