Gabby Obertan – has picked up hamstring injury

Newcastle players seem to pick up a lot of hamstring injuries and a lot of injuries in general and it´s been the case for a number of years now.

On Physiorrom.com Newcastle continue at the top of the injury table with 13 injuries followed by Manchester City with just 8.

This is what Steve McClaren has said today:

“We have quite a few injuries. Jack is the only one who has a chance. Gabby and Rolando are out.”

This is today´s injury status according to Physioroom.com.

Player Injury When Back

G Obertan Knock 18th October

The return dates in Physioroom are not always accurate.

But it´s disturbing that we have so many injuries so early in the season.

What do you think?

Comments welcome.

Does that mean only Elliot and Williamson will be on the bench?

A lot of the injuries are down to the players not being100% fit, its obvious come the second half of every game the way we loss momentum and huff and puff.

    Will die

Agree with your team and subs 100%.

WTF has Obertan done to get injured.
It must be a thumb injury from too much FIFA.

What goes on in training? We can’t pin this lot on Carver and his crew.

Are they settling grudges during their kickabouts?

McClaren needs to bottom this out, it’s ridiculous, every season.

Maybe we need to get Keegan in to take training, playing head tennis, keepy-up didn’t seem to cause problems – in fact quite the opposite!
