News coming through that Gabby Obertan has pulled his hamstring in training this week and will be out for a while.
And both Massadio Haidara and Rolando Aarons are still not fit for the game tomorrow at Manchester City and will not travel with the squad.
Gabby Obertan – has picked up hamstring injury
Newcastle players seem to pick up a lot of hamstring injuries and a lot of injuries in general and it´s been the case for a number of years now.
On Physiorrom.com Newcastle continue at the top of the injury table with 13 injuries followed by Manchester City with just 8.
This is what Steve McClaren has said today:
“We have quite a few injuries. Jack is the only one who has a chance. Gabby and Rolando are out.”
This is today´s injury status according to Physioroom.com.

But it´s disturbing that we have so many injuries so early in the season.

Agree with your team and subs 100%.
WTF has Obertan done to get injured.
It must be a thumb injury from too much FIFA.

Comment #6What goes on in training? We can’t pin this lot on Carver and his crew.
Are they settling grudges during their kickabouts?
McClaren needs to bottom this out, it’s ridiculous, every season.
Maybe we need to get Keegan in to take training, playing head tennis, keepy-up didn’t seem to cause problems – in fact quite the opposite!
