Adam Armstrong – scored two for Coventry TODAY

Adam took his tally up to eight goals this season and he is the top scorer in League One.

His first goal came after 26 minutes when Fortune set him up and the Geordie lad scored with a good left foot shot.

FortunE himself then scored from a penalty just before half-time to send Coventry 2-0 up at the break.

Armstrong scored his second after 66 minutes and this time he was set up by Reda Johnson and it was another well-placed left foot shot.

That was Adam’s third brace for Coventry this season and they move up to 5th place in League One.

There’s some good news for Newcastle fans after we lost 6-1 at Manchester City today and conceded five goals in the first 18 minutes of the second half.

Comments welcome.

    Ashley Out!

Congrats to toonbrother who has single handedly willed Coloccini’s inevitable demise as a footballer.

Where’s jeff when you need someone to jibe you for being overly negative? Where’s Mr positive thinking and the blue sky parade?. Maybe it’s the 20 minutes of sobriety rained down on us by the Real World of Premier League Football that has them cowed behind mams sofa.

Good lad, seems a promising footballer.

Last thing he needs to happen is to be brought into this terrible side we have at the minute, he’ll not get the service

    afternoon all
    well today was once again another showing of failings that have been there for a number of seasons;
    1)lack of leadership
this is’nt the 1st time i’ve said it colo is’nt strong or verbal enough to be captain, the players have it to easy coz he’s a mate instead of there captain

    2)lack of consistency
there for everyone to see and has been for years from before leading at fulham 1-0 and finishing that game 5-2 to fulham(i believe)in 2012 to today….is shockin

    3)far to many individual errors
this is happening every week with no improvements…players have got step up there games and take responsibility….they are embarrassing themselves, the fans and the club.

    4)lack of strength of mind
how many times have nufc conceeded goals in the first 5-10mins of the half?…..this nothing new….its like they’ve all smoked a bag weed and takes them 10-15mins to wake up…and how many times have nufc been beaten by not just a goal but by 345 or even 6 they fall apart so easy… no fight….no back bone….no will power to get back in the game….again shocking

    5)lack of quality
being unable to pass ,control, shoot take a free kick or a corner has to be worked at and if like nufc they fail to do it week in week out without improvement….then the quality of these players has to be questioned….those players who believe they should be playing at higher levels then need a reality check coz the truth is.. on this form under a better stronger manager they would’nt be getting a game.
didnt expect anything from this game was a throw away game to have a look at players, partnerships and attitudes if im honest.1st half was decent glad to see mitro score….2nd was embarrassing

Whoever wants to stop supporting NUFC is free to go we will wait until we get where we want to
be . Am a young fan but we were worse in 80 s and the Keeagan happened . Patience is needed and
    we will have to wait.
Wont give up on my club coz we have been beaten by a Great team . I see positives and I will rely
on it. NUFC for life and wont give up on it.

Against an average Prem side Aguero would have had 2 or 3 in a complete game playing like that. Against us he had 5 in an hour and off to relax.

  • 13 Tsunki // Oct 3, 2015 at 6:04 PM

I put forward about two or three seasons ago the notion that there’s and his tat market cronies were playing at foisting the ethos of his cheap shirt emporium in the game to the cost of sporting achievement, but that ultimately he did this because he did not understand football and was essentially imposing his clueless business plan where it did not fit. I still think that beyond selling cheap socks he doesn’t know or care what he’s doing and never will. When he did his rallying cry video he didn’t understand the script as he was reeling it off. Incompetence is threaded through the Company Policy.

  • 14 GeordieTwo // Oct 3, 2015 at 6:04 PM

Good on ya will die mate. I’ll be here to keep you company but I’m not planning on pulling any punches until we field a decent side week after week.

    Heaven knows I’m miserable now…

  • 19 toonking // Oct 3, 2015 at 6:07 PM

good job he’s scoring lots of goals becaus we’ll certainly be using him as a main striker next season when in the championship.

  • 20 GeordieTwo // Oct 3, 2015 at 6:07 PM

That’s it in a nutshell Great Tsukini mate. The reason we are doomed. An idiot at the top. He dare not show his face now but it won’t get us out of this mess. Only him leaving will.

  • 21 toon kk // Oct 3, 2015 at 6:08 PM

The score was only to be expected to be honest. We’re the Worst team not just in the premier league but I bet we’d be lucky to scrape a win if we were in the championship.

will die for the toon army

Yes we have had worse teams in the past in terms of ability however I don’t think we’ve ever had a less ambitious owner and a set of players who just can’t try for 90 minutes.

The Ashley era has been shocking.

Nobody is turning away from the club, they are turning away from Ashley in an attempt to save the club.

Also city are not a great team, they are a good team. Look how poor they are in europe compared to other sides there.

We fell off the radar for the last 12 yrs and we cant change that in one season. it take a continous commitment from every one involved The owner, board, coaching team, players and fans we will b a great time.

We shld stop livng in The Keagan and Sir Bobby days we r no lomger that club. We r a sh@t club building its self. If we dont get in our crazy minds we will protest every season. Gary Neville was right. Liverpool and us we r off yhe radar.
