There´s Some Surprising Good News On The Injury Front

9:31 am, Wednesday, October 14th, 2015 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 6 Comments

In Paul Simpson´s injury update he has given on nufcTV theres some good news – but of course at the moment everybody is shocked that we have lost Tim Krul for the season.

That´s not just a blow because Tim is a good goalkeeper, but he´s also one of the few leaders we have in the dressing room and on the field and he will be a big miss.

kevin mbabu

Kevin Mbabu – could even be fit for Sunday

But with some other players there´s good news with Daryl Janmaat and Jack Colback both expected to be fit for the game against Norwich and one or  two other first team players very close to making the game on Sunday.

This is some of what Paul said on nufcTV starting with the medical department:

“It´s been a horrible time for them in there – they´ll be sick of the sight of some of the faces in there but we are hopeful that after this International break we should have more players back fit again.”

“Obviously as some come out of the room and others go in – in Tim´s case-  but we are confident Daryl will come through the week and be available for Sunday.”

“Jack Colback has started to build up his training and we are hoping he will be available for the game against Norwich.”

“Paul Dummett and Sadio Haidara are both starting to build up their training and there´s a possibility that they may be involved.”

“Further back down the line are the likes of Rolando Aarons and we are hoping he can join in training next week.”

“Gabby Obertan is still a few weeks away Karl Darlow is still a few weeks away.”

“Kevin Mbabu – we are keeping our fingers crossed that he may have a chance at the weekend,  but it’s possibly going to be one week too early, but we will assess that as we go along.”

“We are asking the medical department to be working overtime, but they are pulling out all the stops to try to get tha lads out.”

“And credit to them that we are actually even able to consider the likes of Paul Dummett, Sadio Haidara and Jack Colback for this weekend.”

“They will keep working this week and hopefully they can keep performing their magic and get them out for us.”

That´s good news on Kevin Mbabu who seems to be close to full fitness and that Rolando Aarons will start training next week – we´ll need those players  to get us out of the difficulties we are in at the moment.

Comments welcome.

“Working overtime”. “Performing magic”. How about you stop taking the piss Simpson? You are just another cog in the ever spinning wheel of deceit perpetually visited upon the supporters. I trust you as much as I trust Ashley, Charnley, Carr and McClaren. A pox on you all.

    The overrated Frenchman

You don’t really think things through do you ?

If he was a cog in an ever spinning wheel of deceit then surely we would win the odd game to keep the pressure off.

    I hate sloppy thinkers me.

Begone with your bile to a mackem site where it will be more appreciated !
