Newcastle Star Lays Out What´s Necessary

If Newcastle are going to get away from the relegation zone – we are currently bottom of the league and a full 6 points from safety after only eight games played – we simply must start winning games.

That´s especially true at home and drawing games isn´t going to be good enough given our poor position in the league table.

Daryl Janmaat last time out at Manchester City

Daryl Janmaat has played well for us in the last few games and he is agin showing himself a leader by willing to be interviewed during a poor spell for Newcastle.

This is what the 25 times Dutch International has had to say today:

“We have to win now.” “We need to win two games in a row and then we can see where we are afterwards.”

“We need to believe. We actually showed it in the first half against Man City, we were really good.”

“Only the first 10 minutes of the second half we were poor.” “We conceded five in that time. Then of course the belief goes down.”

“It’s normal for any side when that happens.” “If we concede five goals in 10 minutes we know that.” “But now we have to win against Norwich.”

There was an injury scare with Daryl almost two weeks ago when he injured his knee and had to leave the Netherlands squad,  but he is fit for tomorrow´s game.

Unfortunately Tim Krul wasn´t so lucky and picked up a season ending knee injury playing for the Netherlands last Saturday.

That was more bad news for Newcastle 0 but hey -m we have to put that all behind us and win the game against Norwich tomorrow at home.

If we can do that it will lift the mood of Newcastle fans everywhere and that;? sorely needed at the moment.

We’ll get beat tomorrow. Norwich have a similar quality squad on paper than us but there fitness and work rate is far higher.
    We’d struggle in league 1.

It’s only right there should be ‘intense pressure ‘ on McLaren since he is being paid £millions alongside the other under-achievers at Newcastle. Just remember he has had since last June to oversee the changes at the club and of course let’s not forget he turned us down twice before getting the Derby sack before joining us on the rebound. Lee Charnley must be embarrassed. McLaren’s losing streak stretched from the last 9 games with Derby (sacked) and has continued with 10 winless games for us. How on earth can anyone just sit by and treat this level of failure as if it we just a learning curve or something equally mild. Newcastle are up shit creek and if we don’t change things now then it will be too late.
