Hilarious Video On Newcastle Fans Reaction To Rare Win

2:31 pm, Monday, October 19th, 2015 by Dr. Ed Harrison · 52 Comments

Here is what Paddy Power put out after Newcastle’s stunning 6-2 win over Norwich City when we actually scored more than the opposition – only the second time in the last 20 league games that’s been the outcome – so no wonder Newcastle fans were completely stunned.

There’s some bad language including the F word being used twice.

I guess one guy’s “really funny” is another guy’s crock.

  • 2 cyprus // Oct 19, 2015 at 2:53 PM

Good, the true geordie one is funnier, or funner.

Now, that’s what I call football. Keegan-style. We were so brilliant going forward with the amazing Widgi, Siss, Perez and Mitro. Who would I replace those 4 with, yesterday? Rooney? Ramsey? Well no, they were world class. If I’d seen another team going forward like that I’d have been so jealous, but, wait a minute, this was NUFC!

Ok, Janm must learn some basics on position and closing down. Ok, Siss is not a defender (but what a monster of a player). Ok, Colo doesn’t shout (but defended well and babysat all day. Ok, Dummett/Haidi may not be the best LB pair in the league. And Mbemba may only be 21 (or 24, 29, 35), but he played two positions yesterday, CB and LB. And ok, Anita isn’t exactly 6’5, but he kept it neat. And the local boy swept up everything.

What a game man. What a crazy crazy team.

  • 4 manxpie // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:02 PM

On the perez rumours surely he has to be offered a new contract on good wages, as he was signed for the development squad so must be on peanuts compared to the rest of the starters. And he’s put most of them to shame over the last year
that should be number 1 priority right now

  • 5 Jib // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:06 PM

Tim’s etc. – obviously watching the Norwich game

  • 6 chicousa // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:09 PM

Re: Janmatt’s defending and playing so far off his man yesterday: he looked like he may not have been 100% fit, so might have been compensating a bit. Watched the replay of the match and his overall play was good.

Blackely, in answer to your question about who I would replace first with big money signing, of course that would be Colo! But still need a top notch LB!

  • 7 lesh // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:10 PM

    Martoon, Tuff

Googlemeister Jib doesn’t seem to have stepped in to help solve the SuperMac left back question so…..

  • 8 martoon // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:20 PM

lesh @7 – A bit difficult to read because of all the pop-ups but I award you the Googlemeister crown 🙂

  • 9 Jib // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:25 PM

    Better link

  • 10 davis_toons // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:29 PM

    Damn Pardew.

  • 11 Jib // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:31 PM

“By that time George had recommended him to Tonbridge and the manager, Harry Haslam gave him a trial.
So began a partnership that was to last for many years. The enterprising Haslam converted his burly left back into a centre forward and sold him to Fulham.”

Does anyone seriously think Mr Tuff will do anything other than try to wriggle and squirm his way out of it ?

Shoot , I sound as childish as him !!!!

  • 12 will die for the toon army // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:35 PM

CB first. I can gamble with Dummett at LB for the next yrs. We really need a good CB and we will b ok.

  • 13 Jib // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:36 PM

I’m not true Geordie’s biggest fan , however his latest offering post-Norwich game , had me laughing out loud , probably something to do with him being pissed 🙂

  • 14 Mister Tuff // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:40 PM

” Robson who converted him from full-back to centre-forward at Fulham.”

    Extracted from ;-

  • 15 Slank // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:43 PM

    Jail for Ashley

““He wants to be a top four player and he will be if he performs like that.”

It sounds like McClaren and Sissoko have had discussions about the future and McClaren was making an oblique reference to it based on Sissoko’s performance against Norwich.

  • 16 Mag52 // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:44 PM

When Mbabu is fit to return, I wonder if Macca would consider switching Janmaat to the wing, with Sissoko given a roving role.
If ever there’s a square peg in a round hole it’s Janmaat. He’s got winger written all over him. He’s reasonably fast, he can cross a good ball and he has that attacking mindset. As for his defending – say no more.

  • 17 chicousa // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:47 PM

    will die for…
Aye a CB is most pressing need. Dummett is good sub at either LB or CB and did OK aside from that 2nd goal, just a bit rusty. Good to see him back though… And while we are at it a new DM is on the much needed list…

  • 18 Jib // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:48 PM

    Joel Matip
It seems to be between us and AC Milan.
He’s still refusing to sign a new contract (his current one ends this summer)

  • 19 JamesToon // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:50 PM

hooefully big money will be spent on quality and experience in January. Quite unrealistic but we need players like Shawcross, Wanyama, Redmond and a good left back

  • 20 Jail for Ashley // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:51 PM

You never answered my question though, do you think it will be with us that McLaren was referring to ?

  • 21 Jail for Ashley // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:52 PM

That’s not a bad shout, why is it that Sissoko couldn’t be a holding midfielder though ?

  • 22 Mister Tuff // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:55 PM

The Supermac story from Fulham Football Club site. They say he was bought as a fullback for £1000. I think they would know if they had bought a centre forward or a fullback.

  • 23 will die for the toon army // Oct 19, 2015 at 3:55 PM

Matip Willems and Lassoga r comimg. Next signings for Jan.

We will keep Tiote Anita and Colback as CM till end of the season.

  • 24 Mag52 // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:00 PM

A holding midfielder suggests a more defensive role than might suit Sissoko on the rampaging performance we saw from him yesterday, but it’s certainly something to consider.
One of the secrets to our progress, or not, for the rest of the season, must be to find a role for this Frenchman, as on his day he looks so very good.

  • 25 chicousa // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:00 PM

Joel Matip would fill the order nicely!

Yeah, I would definitely like to see more of Mbabu over next few matches…

  • 26 barkel // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:06 PM

I’d agree, I said a few weeks ago that we should consider playing him RW, but I was also saying to play 3 5 2.

From yesterdays team I would be looking to replace Dummy, Tiote or Elliot, I think they were very rusty though and could still come good and play a part for the rest of the season. I’m mostly concerned about Elliot, he always looks like he’s going to concede. I’m a Colo fan and don’t think he had a bad game.

  • 27 The Newcastle Armchair // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:08 PM

    Will die

How are you so sure we’ll get those players? Would be insane if we did, Willems is sure to be a top class left back.

On another note, be sick if we kept M’biwa for a back three of Mbabu Mbemba Mbiwa

  • 28 martoon // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:08 PM

Jib & will die for the toon army – I’ve mentioned this before but 2 different sources “in the know” have said Charlie Austin is a done deal for January – contract agreed etc.

  • 29 Jail for Ashley // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:09 PM

I’m not a Collo fan anymore but wouldn’t mind him so much if he wasn’t first choice and certainly not captain, benching him would really determine if he wants to be here or not by how much effort he puts in when given a chance, unfortunately it’s not easy to bench your captain unless he’s an alcoholic !

  • 30 lesh // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:15 PM

Any time you need help, just holler.

Oh, the link you posted’s the same as the one I put up. If yours’s better, it must be the result of your mastery of Google!

  • 31 will die for the toon army // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:21 PM

Willems is a world class LB but he cant start in other big teams so he will settle for us. jst like Wijnaldum did.

Lassoga was a done deal Cisse jst failed to leave. Matip I can bet on that he is coming.

  • 32 lesh // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:21 PM

Much as appreciate the accolade, I cannot accept the Google-Meister crown – there can only be one Google-Meister and that title must rest with the one and only, that exemplification of research expertise, Jib.

  • 33 will die for the toon army // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:22 PM

Elliott was already replaced by Darlow. once comes back he is getting that spot.

  • 34 lesh // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:29 PM

    Mr Tuff

Ashley’s probably been on the phone trying to get Harry Haslam signed up – buy Macdonald as a LB for a grand, do a bit work on him and sell him for £180k.

Anyone who can add 179000% value to a player’s worth having on the payroll. No doubt Ashley’ll be setting such a mark up as a target for Carr and McClaren!

  • 35 Jail for Ashley // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:31 PM

When was it decided that International goalkeeper Rob Elliott was third choice behind Darlow ?

  • 36 barkel // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:33 PM

Can’t bench him because we don’t really have anyone else! Taylor, in my opinion, would be the only one to replace him with but he’s too injury prone. Saying that tho, I haven’t seen very much of Lascellas. Willo could come in possibly, he can do a job but imagine the reaction from everyone on here if Willo started with Mbemba on Sunday!

  • 37 Jail for Ashley // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:35 PM

Unfortunately I don’t mean now, we need to bring in a quality CB in January which makes it a tricky situation when a captain is fighting for his place

  • 38 barkel // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:37 PM

International keeper Elliot? you’re being very kind! He’s played about 3 games for Ireland and is at best 4th choice behind Given, Randolph and Forde

  • 39 Mister Tuff // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:38 PM

    lesh – aka “deputy jibberish”.
lesh – surely a step too far to join the multiple gang – meister of spin, fraud, trickery and duff information.
Jib will make you perform and dress up as Jane – frillies, brassiere, stockings and high heels and a wig as well.
You’ll be walking the streets of Pennywell before you know it.
Oh – just had a thought – are you into that type of activity anyway. Not saying you are – just enquiring.

  • 40 barkel // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:39 PM

    Sorry, posted too soon!

It is tricky but would be great for competition. We will definitely need to sell/loan out a CB before we buy anyone though.

  • 41 Reyantoon // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:40 PM

Why are people argue about Sissoko ?
Leave him alone, don’t try to stall his magics ?

    On a side note;
Surprised the match co-commentator criticized Sissoko for the goals we conceded. But he failed to notice that it was Janmaat who was napping,
just like he was against chelsea.Instead of standing firm & challenge, he continously ran steps back, like coward, every time Norwich possess the ball, leaving too many spaces for them to dribble and cross. He setup a goal yes’y but was poor in majority since the start of the season. He gave away plenty of dangerous free kicks in our area yest’y.He almost gave away a penalty as well.If Norwich were good at set pieces, they might have scored more. The lad has concentration problem.he’s the only player who I haven’t been impressed from the entire squad.
Unless he improve his defensive weaknesses,
we’ll get exposed more, especially when we face better teams,or fast running players!!

    January Prediction:

  • 43 welshgeordie9 // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:46 PM

Two names i would like us to go for in January, Charlie Austin and crystal palace manager, but I’ve forgotten his name.

  • 44 Jail for Ashley // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:47 PM

I know but he might well be at the Euros next year, has it been announced that Darlow is number two or is it just peoples dislike of Elliott

  • 45 will die for the toon army // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:50 PM

I dont dislike Elliot but by the look of it. it was Darlow was playing in the reserve games and league cup so I think he is No.2

Why waste our time on a 29 yr old GK while we have a 24 yr old one.

  • 46 barkel // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:52 PM

I wouldn’t imagine that he’ll be in the squad unless there’s injuries to any of those other 3 I’ve mentioned. I don’t think that they would announce a no.2, I would imagine because Darlow was on the bench until his injury that it’s assumed he’s no. 2

  • 47 will die for the toon army // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:53 PM

I wld choose Lassoga ahead of Austin any day. Austin is jst like Cisse provides nothing wants every thing on the plate.

  • 48 Jail for Ashley // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:54 PM

That is pretty flawed logic when you have keepers playing in to their forties !

  • 49 Jail for Ashley // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:55 PM

Has Elliott not been injured as well though ?

  • 50 Mister Tuff // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:56 PM

People would be up in arms if I started saying we signed Perez from a Chinese second division outfit.
I put the same weight behind trying to make sure things are factual -so my last word on Supermac.
this is an extract from the Football League site -and I’m sure most will not argue with what is on their site.

“A muscular but lightning quick centre-forward who was never afraid to attempt the audacious and outrageous, Macdonald began his career at Fulham in 1968 when the late, great, Bobby Robson plucked him from the relative obscurity of the Southern League and gave him his big chance with his local club.

A full-back in his teenage years, he began the transition to striker at Craven Cottage but it was at Kenilworth Road in colours of Luton Town that Macdonald blossomed into a genuine predator, scoring 49 league goals in just 88 games.

Fastest player I ever saw – best debut I ever saw – hat-trick against Liverpool we won 3-2.

So you Johnny come lately Google Meisters take time to get your facts right about he club/players.

  • 51 cyprus // Oct 19, 2015 at 4:59 PM

I’ll agree with Janm needing to work on his defensive duties. Can’t question his ability going forward but can question his ability in defending. He leaves horrendous spaces back there, gave away a pen (not given), a foul on the edge and left Mbemba to defend that RB too many times.

I like him, as a player, having said all that 🙂

Though he needs help there, Steve should look into that, too many goals conceded from there.

Colo had a very good game, btw. The goalie was alright too, quite ‘solid’.

We really should not be criticising too much, anyone. To concede 6, then score 6, which team has ever done that?

  • 52 will die for the toon army // Oct 19, 2015 at 5:16 PM

Sissoko and Wijnaldum are there to attack not defend. Then wat do the two DMs doing. They have to protect the back four.

Colback and Tiote/Anita didnt pass the centreline
